I thought Marc-Antoine Fortune was a decent football player but, as a striker (which is what we bought him to be), he was a monumental flop. I have never met or heard one Celtic fan who was gutted we got £2million for him. The fact I severely doubt Balde can be as good as even Fortune speaks volumes.

It's you it speaks volumes about, not Balde.

Let the guy play a few competitive fixtures before writing him off :87:

I honestly feel once the team is settled, and is into it's stride he will do well.

Exactly, it's still incredibly early in the season and there are a few players who have not yet hit full fitness etc and it will take time as it always does. It's even harder for Balde coming to a new club.

I have doubts about him - but I will not write him off/lose faith until he has played 10+ matches or at least learned the language.

Takes years to learn a language.

He's on a similar wage to Scott Brown and wouldn't come here for the same wage or less. We wouldn't be able to afford his wages and that's a fact, briefly forgetting the fact he wouldn't ever sign for Celtic.

Should only take him about 3 months to learn basic English.

I think Balde is going to turn out to be a good player. The biggest problem for him is that our delivery/creativity from wide men has been nitoriously poor the last few season. Before yous start obviously Mulgrew and Commons both have a great delivery and Lustig and Matthews are decent enough but dont create nearly as much as we should. Hope the boy from Ajax can provide that. Also if we get another good striker then it could help him in the link up play is good.

pep guardiola is fluent in German after 6 months

need to get off this guys case i hope to * he doesn't bother with the internet and forums

we have been * poor so far this season and the guys has had virtually no service he must be thinking what the * have i let myself in for

he was bought as a centre forward and to score goals and we don't produce opportunities for him! what chance would anyone have in those circumstances!

would a van basten, pele, larson score goals if we didn't create any chances for them ?

Puzzled why Lenny didn't throw the big man on wit 10 minutes to go,Stokes was playing * and we were crying out for someone to get on the end of a few crosses

Quite worrying that he didn't play against Cliftonville and then was kept on the bench tonight. Particularly when Stokes was so poor.

    * is the point in spending £2M on someone when we're not willing to give him a chance. Cliftonville at home was the perfect time to bed him in and all he got was a 15 minute cameo. Then tonight it was blatantly obvious we needed a partner for Stokes/someone to get on the end of crosses and he didn't even get on. Doubt he'll play in the 2nd leg either since Lennon's more likely to go defensive.
