I doubt Everton will even consider Neil TBH, the fact that he's manager of a Scottish club would pretty much rule him out despite his European achievements this season.

If he did get offered it though, I wouldn't be surprised if he went

Can't see Lennon taking a step down to join Everton. I'd be gutted if he left.

Personally I don't see Lennon leaving Celtic for Everton. To me he is a genuine Celtic man who understands the club and gets what it means to so many because it means so much to himself as well. I think he also understands that given how healthy the club is right now he has the chance to be manager of Celtic and lead the club through a period of massive success. Will he want to walk away from that I really don't see it.

'This is just the beginning' made me think he'll be here for years, and I still do.Lennon knows what he has with Celtic and the supporters, maybe even his current players,is unique.

It certainly wouldn't be an easy decision for him,and I'd personally hate to see him go,but I'd wish him the best no matter what happens.

Lennon's a legend regardless, some people would do well to remember that.

I don't think he's good enough for Everton, if he finds himself on the shortlist then there will be managers with more EPL experience and results behind them, those who already kept teams up and proved themselves in EPL.

We've seen Strachan reach eighth-finals of CL twice, win the league 3 out of 4 times with more competition and he ended up at Middlesbrough. He also had previous experience managing other clubs as well.

I wouldn't want him to go anyway, current situation is good and things can only get better. This summer it will be 3 years since he's in the job and overall he's had a successful stint. There's no need for fresh blood either, new trophies and European adventures are on the horizon. Even if he wants to manage England, which he said himself he does, it would be smarter to gain more experience and go through more tests in Europe, proving and developing himself further.

I personally think Michael Laudrup is the man to take over.

His ambitions must extend beyond Swansea. No disrespect to them, but winning the League Cup is probably as far as he will go there. I don't see Swansea becoming a force in Europe any time soon, but Moyes has laid down the foundations of an Everton squad that, along with 2-3 more decent signings in key areas, could start challenging regularly for CL football under Laudrup.

Think Martinez will be their manager.

Lennon might just see that he needs another year or two up here then move to England. I hope so anyway.

Depends how Lenny sees it doesn't it ?

    - Could I get to the last 8 of the CL this time, or further ?

    or

    - We might get put out in the second qualifying round of the CL and be out of Europe completely before the end of summer.

If the latter happens then a lot will want him out. If he's thinking positively he'll probably stay but he'll know how quick our season can deflate if he has a bad start next season.

Could he not also be thinking "ten in a row and the chance to cement my legacy at the only club I've ever loved"?

He will still be a relatively young guy in 8 years time and could fulfil his ambition to manage in England then.

Think Allardyce would be a good option for Everton, not sure if anyone has mentioned him.

I hope Lennon stays with us for another year or so.

Difference between Strachan and Lennon being Strachan had a track record to scrutinise within the English league system. Lennon has been a success at Celtic, in his first job in management, and many clubs will look at him as a good young manager with the hunger and desire to achieve success elsewhere. Which is exactly what he is.

Saying Lennon isn't good enough for Everton does a disservice to our manager. Everton are being held at an artificial level through an excellent manager and they will experience a massive dropin results when the next guy comes in and his squad has been decimated.

His first job, at a club that challenges for the title and participates in European competition every season. No experience with a team on tight budget, in a league with great teams and loads of money to spend. That will automatically put him down the list below managers like Martinez and Laudrup.

It will definitely be a huge task for new manager to even keep what Moyes created, nevermind move them forward. And that's why I think he's not good enough, Everton at the moment find themselves at a point where everything can change if they appoint the wrong man. They can easily go back to finishing above relegation zone or mid-table at best if they don't chose carefully.

Lennon still has a lot more to experience and go through before he's ready for England, not to mention a tough job like Everton.

There's a greater chance of Everton dropping a level than United, which is something a lot of people are over-looking.

Martinez fights relegation season after season whilst being patted on the back for playing passing football. What sort of success is that? He's the guy that's not good enough, not Lennon. Martinez would replace Baines, Feillani and Coleman with Maloney, MacArthur and Fyvie. Everton are onto a hiding to nothing and for that reason, for me, Lennon is too good for Everton.

I'm going to lump on it in online bookies, mortgaging the house and everything because I trust you, a stranger on the internet. The same internet where no one has ever heard something from someone before which turned out to be complete cack.
