I'm not rolling my eyes at that.

It was the fact someone doesn't want us to do ten in a row because it's a one horse race.

That might be the most idiotic thing I've ever read on here, not least because if we didn't do the ten then it wouldn't be a one horse race anyway...

Anyway, if he did stay to do the ten then he would still be a young man and could fulfil his ambition.

I don't think Everton would be a smart move for Lennon, or any manager if i'm honest. I think Moyes has taken Everton as far as anyone will take them, and the only way is downwards when he goes I feel.

How anyone could not want us to go on and do 10 in a row is baffling.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see us dominate for years to come, but I simply don't want that record broken whilst it's a one horse race and Scottish football is in the state it's in.

To see the players who represented us from 1965 until 1974 like Dalglish, Billy McNeil, Jimmy Johnstone and Danny McGrain, and who can list the likes of making it to a European Cup final twice and semi-final twice as well have their unbelievable record broken by the kind of players we have now would be a real shame in my opinion.

Eight in a row will do me nicely.

I hope for his sake he gets offered it and takes it.

Reading through the thread I agree with everything daibhi has said. If he doesn't go this summer his reputation will automaically reduce along with alot of the players.

    * the everton fans as well, man is more hated than loved in the UK and thats what makes him a easy target for most. If it wasnt for Lenny Celtic park would be a serious different place. To reach the last 16 a few years after the devastation mowbray left should allow him the chance to manage a team in the EPL.

Will be sadly missed if he goes, but I hope he takes it if offered.

His reputation wouldn't drop if he were to take us back into the Champions League.

Martinez and Laudrup the front runners, doubt they will go for Lenny, which is good IMO.

So it's six years from now, the new season is just beginning and you actively want us to lose the league that season so as to preserve the Lions record?

Is that what you are saying?

I'll certainly be torn. I won't want the Lions record to be beaten and overshadowed by the type of player we have in our squad now, that's for sure.

It'd be a bad move for Everton if they were looking for Lenny.

Martinez would be a safer bet imo.

Nope, not at all. Us winning 10 in a row now would be as satisfying as winning ten in a row in a videogame using the unlimited money cheat.

If we have virtually no chance of losing the league over a season, then what it the value of actually winning it?

    Why bother then?

Why don't you go support someone else if there is no joy in following Celtic?

    Genuine question BTW.

Because, as I suspect you already know, you don't just change your team. I'll always support Celtic.

The truth is, I've not been going to as many games this season as I have in the past though. Sadly, I'm not even amped up at the thought of getting the league trophy this season. It was a given we'd win it from the off.

How any Celtic supporter can say he doesn't want the club to win 10 in a row because it may overshadow the feats of previous Celtic teams is just mind-boggling to me. You can only beat what's in front of you...

Having said that, funnily enough, I don't want Celtic to win 10 in a row either, but that's because I want Celtic to leave Scottish football sooner rather than later.

In my eyes it wouldn't be the end of the world type scenario that I would have once thought it was if he leaves.

However the candidates that we would see linked with us in the event of him leaving scare the * out of me.

Quite frankly Lennon has been a proven success and it's better the devil you know.

Yeah, I know that. I think I'd just feel as though I'd been cheated though, I dunno.

Winning ten in a row over the likes of Motherwell doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I don't see how to be honest. Martinez is about to get Wigan relegated in my opinion. Martinez has been touted with a couple of jobs because he has kept Wigan up by winning 3 or 4 games near the end of the season. The fact is, Wigan are rotten for about the first 33.

    What else can Celtic do?

It's an absolutely bizzare opinion for any Celtic supporter to hold in my opinion.
