You can usually rent a sat at the golf club for £10 or something, alot cheaper than buying them, if you are only testing to see if you like golf.

Cleveland wedges are the best brand - I bought a second hand one for 35 quid with a different loft on it at Blairgowrie only last weekend.....so a brand new one (even if it is an old model) for 30 notes is good value for money.

If you fancy trying it, get yersel down to a range mate - they have clubs there you can use, so no need for your own, and a bucket of 50 / 100 balls isnae too much.

Concerning buying a full set of clubs, it really is what you want to get out of the game - there is no need to soend fortunes if just having a bash about with mates every so often. I love golf, so my set cost a fair bit to be honest - but I get good use out of them.:50:

You can buy a full set (bag and all) for about £150 quid mate. They're usually basic enough but they do you well. Then, if you get into it, you can start adding more clubs to your bag off ebay and all.

Yeah this is what I did :50: Then got my granddad's after he passed and they're cracking. Some great golf courses along the causeway coast to use them on too.
