    I just use ps3 for online and fifa (better controller for sports games) and my Xbox for single player.

    Edit: So if I bought a game for the Nextbox and didn't have an internet connection I wouldn't be able to play that game basically.

    It's a horrible idea of constantly being online in order to play your games. I don't like the fact that every game will have an installation feature too.

    HALO is a better shooter than any PS3 exclusive has to offer
    FORZA is a better racing game than any PS3 exclusive has to offer
    GEARS OF WAR is a better 3rd person shooter than any PS3 exclusive has to offer

    + You left out a lot of XBOX exclusives, Crackdown, Condemned, Lost Odyssey, Left 4 Dead, Alan Wake, Metro 2033 including a couple more

    PS4. Never had an X-box, always had the playstation. It does what i want plus i like the controller and all my mates have playstations. Only really play COD and soon to be GTA these days mostly use it for netflix, youtube or streaming football from firstrow

    Origin, Uplay and Steam all have this now. You have to be online or most if not all of your installed games cannot be played.
    Great when you just moved house and have no net for 6 weeks :47:

    On steam you can set to "play offline" :50:

    In regards to the always online feature I read somewhere that it is up to the publishers.

    Anyway the feature does suck but it is all rumours at the moment we will find out on the 21st

    I've got a 360 and a PS3. I've not even turned on the 360 since Gears 3. The PS3 gets used pretty much every day. Even if it's not for games it's for Love Film / iPLayer / 4OD. The main reason for this is having to pay for xbox live. Why the * do they want me to subscribe so I can pay ANOTHER subscription to love film etc? Also if I'm going to buy fifa (pretty much the only online game I play) why would I buy it on the Xbox when I play online for free on the PS3.

    As it stands I'll be buying the PS4 but I'll need to see more details. As it stands the rumoured always-online restriction on the nextbox would be a complete deal killer for me. People just need to look at the recent Sim City debacle to see how badly that can go.

    Will be Xbox for me probably.

    Like how its more community orientated, they actually give you a headset when you buy one so you can talk and play with friends straight off the bat instead of needing a bluetooth headset or whatever.

    The Xbox servers are also miles better than the PS3's. Granted I've not played my PS3 since MW2 about 2 years ago but when I did play it on the PS3, every 2nd game or so would lag and disconnect and throw everyone back into the lobby. The xbox rarely gets these problems.

    Then you've also got the whole security issue that happened with Sony where they were down for a month or so after hackers stole personal info and put the servers down etc. Although thats in the past, it still would stick in my mind if making a choice for a new console.

    The only advantage Playstation had for me was the Metal Gear Solid series but I believe thats now available on Xbox as are the future MGS games. I like Gears of War too which throws the Xbox another plus point.

    Granted the above points might be different and they'll probably throw in a headset with the PS4 but I still think I'd go with the Xbox. The community is better on Xbox IMO and having decent servers for online play is a plus. And I prefer the Xbox controller anyway.
