Wow, i'm genuinely surprised by this. Fantastic news and I never thought Lawwell would do it, fair play to him and the board :50:
Lenny has some pressure on him now though to qualify again, if we * it up in the 1st round then we're up * creek financially :56:

I know that. Serious money for our club. We can't sell our training ground for millions like United or Madrid, our revenue is solely from the fans.

CL is an additional bonus to bump the transfer kitty.

    Pretty much agree with that.

Not sure if it is more or less pressure than this year. I think it was so important to qualify this season and still some people want to complain because we didn't win the league cup !

Ridiculous as it sounds Lennon has earned his chance for this pressure and I hope the board back him.The fans that turned up every other week this season have earned a reduction in their season tickets as well. ( and that is not a go at people who genuinely can't afford it.)

I think it is good news. It certainly isnt a "gesture" but rather a re-pricing based on the current climate and the product on offer. But the board are being quite sensible I think.

I also doubt this is a one off as it wouldnt make sense to get people back then bump prices up by £100 after next season. The board arent there to make friends or make nice gestures, they are there to look after the business side of the club. And I think this is a good bit of business.

Hopefully we will see a noticable difference in the crowds next season

Is this just for existing season book holders or for new ones aswell,I mainly go to away games and pick and choose home games due to working loads of weekend shift work, but if it works out cheap enough il get 1 and give it to a family member when working

The prices are the same for anyone purchasing a season ticket, whether it is renewing or purchasing for the first time.

Why are people happy with this?

All that's happened is the Oldco Rangers prices have been deducted for all tickets. It's always been £100 or so less to buy a ticket that excluded Old Firm games.

£30 cheaper. Normal SPL tickets are about £29, Dead tickets were £44 I think. So two £15's is £30.

I'm happy because I am a Celtic fan and go to watch Celtic every other week at Celtic Park.

This season it cost me x

Next season it will cost me x-100.

But prices haven't been deducted. You're just paying for a season ticket that doesn't include Rangers games in it.

I think a few really need to stop moaning for the sake of it and look at the bigger picture here.

Big clubs all over the world at the moment rarely seem to freeze prices these days let alone reduce them, with players, agents etc demanding more and more money for their loyalty or lack of it in most cases, irrespective of the reason it is £100 less than most thought so even me the ultimate cynic would not sniff at that or try to find a reason to have a good moan.

As has been said people who have had them this season deserve a reduction as opposed to joing the legions who seem more bothered that the huns died than going to support their team unless it is against Barcelona or Juventus!

    Well done Celtic :50:

    I'm not picky.
    Totally agree.

If prices went up = people would * about that
If the froze the prices = people would moan about that
Club have reduced it by £100 = some people STILL * moan.

    No pleasing some.

What a load of *, especially the highlighted part. Plus this would be pretty difficult to achieve anyway as there IS no Hun FC anymore. We don't need a * new club who's just been in existence for almost only a year.

It's a great gesture by the club no matter what people think. They could have said "* you - prices are going up/staying the same" but they have actually reduced them. How many other big clubs have done this? I seriously doubt there's many.

    Great news well done Celtic!

Just imagine the scramble for season ticket books if we get in the Chsmpions League again!

Would really hope book holders get each ticket for £25 and charge the general sale ones for £45,we know we would sell out anyway.

Can't believe the amount of people that are moaning on here, season book holders get free/reduced cup tickets also so I think it's a pretty generous move from Celtic!:50:
