Less, ergo the ban has been excessive as I and others, including the victim, have said

Has anyone been prevented from playing as a result of Luis' actions?...Any longterm much less short term injuries?...Are players exhibiting fear to play with him nevermind even be in the vicinity of a stadium of Suarez?

Meanwhile, there are players in the game who are routinely red carded or involved with injuries to other players yet nothing comparable in terms of a ban has befallen any of these dangerous players

Perspective...No need to flaunt your prejudice over the player, we all have players we like & don't like

Excellent post Wrigley baws:50: Agree with it all.

It's only his third biting offence... lets just wait till he bits someone's nose clean off before real action is took:smiley-laughing002:

Never mind what other players do, what do you think his punishment should be, do you even think he should have a ban?

This doesn't even fall into a player you like or dislike, this is about my opinion of another human being, one who is a racist and bites people, if you think that his behaviour is excusable and not to be severely punished, then I suggest that it is you who is irrational & myopic

Cheers mate, you can just see him with a chunk of nose, trying to hide it in his sock, pleading total innocence :icon_mrgreen:

Aye while FCBarca comes back on the forum claiming it's only his 4th biting offence he should only get another slap on the wrist:56:

Sorry but this is plainly ridiculous.

Suarez is clearly a * scumbag whether he plays for Liverpool, Barca or Celtic. I don't think the ban was excessive because of the nature of what he did in such a high profile game but most importantly because it is the third time he has done it. This level of stupidity probably deserves a longer ban. Such a high profile player can't go around biting folk when he doesn't get his own way.

The idea that what this racist scumbag isn't so bad because he doesn't pick up many yellow or red cards is irrelevant. He got the least he deserves.

He's not a racist..... even Evra said so. :56:

That episode was more ridiculous than the ban he's been given this time around.

I assume you were up in arms and disgusted when your man Tyson was allowed to fight again after biting part of a fellow boxers ear clean off?

Should he have been banned for life?

As for Suarez, I'd have been happy to see him banned from international football for 5 years and given a hefty personal fine. I don't think club football should have come into it.

I, and others including the victim, felt the punishment was excessive which logically translates to a lesser ban...To imply from what I've posted that there shouldn't have been any punishment is not only a fallacy but infantile

You don't know this human being anymore than I do, why continue to advertise your ignorance on this point?

Still think he should have been banned for life. * whether he's one of the best players in the world or not, he'll never learn his lesson and he'll do it again, maybe next time somebody will get seriously hurt. Bit of a shame as well because i don't hate Barca but they have got a lot of * in their team now and id rather one of the Madrid teams won the league again.

Because he is a Man United fan. He thinks he has a *-given right to look down on Liverpool players, ex or current.

Rest assured if it had of been Rooney or Van Persie that did this our United fan boys on this forum would be in complete defense mode.

You have to remember their hatred for Liverpool is more than their love for their own club, and vice-versa i must add!

You still haven't answered, What do you think his punishment should be

No, I don't know him personally, but I do know the following

February 2007 - Suarez makes his international debut against South American rivals Colombia but is sent off after being given a second yellow card for dissent.

November 2007 - Soon after signing for Dutch giants Ajax he is suspended as he clashes at half-time with team-mate and former Newcastle star Albert Luque.

July 2010 - The Uruguay striker becomes a pantomime villain across the globe as he prevents Ghana's Dominic Adiyiah from scoring in the final minute of the World Cup quarter-final with a deliberate handball on the line to prevent the African nation from gaining an historic semi-final place.

Suarez is sent off but he is spotted celebrating as Asamoah Gyan misses the resulting penalty.

The South American's reach the last four by winning a penalty shoot-out.

November 2010 - The first of Suarez's bites. He is banned for seven games by the Dutch FA after nibbling on PSV midfielder Otman Bakkal

October 2011 - Suarez is found guilty by an independent regulatory commission for racially abusing Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra.

He is banned for eight Premier League matches and fined for £40,000.

December 2011 - Weeks later the Liverpool striker makes an offensive gesture to Fulham fans and is handed an additional one-match ban.

February 2012 - Suarez incredibly refuses to shake Evra's hand as United play Liverpool at Old Trafford.

April 2013 - He completes a biting brace by chewing Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic on the arm at Anfield.

Suarez isn't punished by the referee at the time and scores a late equaliser.

He is charged by the FA with violent conduct the following day and is eventually given a whopping 10-match ban.

June 2014 - Suarez makes it a hat-trick of bites as TV replays catch him positioning his head towards Chiellini before falling to the floor clutching his teeth.

What a horrible horrible * of a man
