I don't think it's as simple as that.

Can almost guarantee once Barca sign him they'll find a way to get the ban reduced, something about "he wasn't our player at the time and it's unfair we're being punished"

Of course it is. The print media, especially the red tops, go with the front page that will catch the eye of the buying public.

The world cup is big news just now, and Suarez is part of that. His story sells, whilst I think most people are just sick and tired of hearing about Jimmy Savile.

Don't see why Barca would sign someone with all that baggage when there are so many great players to choose from and unlimited amounts of money to spend. He's not worth what Liverpool is asking.

Suarez at Barca will be frightening, his style will suit them perfectly.

    -------------Bravo-----------
    Alves----Pique----NewCB---Alba
    -----------Busquets----------
    ------Iniesta-----Rakitic------
    Suarez-----Messi--------Neymar

some team if they get in someone to play alongside Pique/Mascherano.

Barcelona don't have unlimited amounts of money to spend, though. They aren't in the same boat as Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez.

An example of this would be the current news doing the rounds that Madrid are prepared to offer Liverpool €80 million plus a choice of one of either Alvaro Morata, Isco or Fabio Coentrao.

Suarez is NOT worth €80m and one of those players ffs. It's ridiculous if Liverpool are asking for something like that for him imo. Him being banned from all football for 4 months only adds to the ridiculousness...

It's not ridiculous for Liverpool to ask for that, it's ridiculous for some club to actually entertain paying it.

Technically it would make him the most expensive player in the world, right? I'm not sure how poor old CR7 would cope, having been already knocked out of the spotlight by Bale at this time last year.

Not sure his ego could live with playing alongside two players who cost more than him.

He'll be a big loss to England if he goes to Barca or Real. I think he's suited to English football, a bit rougher, quicker and end to end although he could play anywhere obviously but English football seems a good fit for him.

I really hope he stays at liverpool tbh and I hate how Barca and Real Madrid feel the need to buy anyone because they are hottest ticket at that moment regardless if they actually need them or not.

Messi and Neymar isn't exactly working as planned and throw Suarez into the mix??

Bale and Ronaldo with Benzema after the form he has shown in this world cup do they even need him?

Just thinking too if he did move to Spain it would probably give Spanish football all the big star players Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Neymar, Iniesta and Bale. Possibly only Ibrahimovic not there but hes about 33 now.

It can be exciting at times, but I don't think it was ever really the best at any time, was it?

Serie A ruled the roost for years, then La Liga and the Bundesliga upped the stakes.

Thats not strictly true, i would class Robben, Reus, Neuer, Lewandowsi and many other of bundesliga talents as big stars

Don't know those 7 are probably the "elite" players of the now.

Those other are mere World Class. Could maybe add in Neuer, Lahm and Thiago Silva even though they are defenders/keeper.

Like there was a time Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo, Rivaldo, Shevchenko, Henry, Maldini, Thuram, Cafu and Carlos were probably the main elite players even ahead of you're Raul, Del Piero, Ballack, Nedved and that's.

Barca need a centre half first and foremost instead of spunking millions on Suarez. Letting go of Sanchez as part of the deal as well, I'd get rid of Pedro before him. I think Sanchez is massively underated.

Suppose he would probably be less inclined to warm the bench than Pedro mind you.

That and Sanchez is more likely to fetch more on the open market, as well...It's true, even myself who prefers cantera players to others, would choose Alexis over Pedro at this point...But Lucho probably understands that the best position for Alexis is where Messi plays and Pedro can play on either side with endless effort - even if the talent level is not on par to that of the Chilean

Ribery and Robben are far better players than Bale and Neymar in my opinion.
In terms of defenders Serie A and Bundesliga are stronger as well but for technical ability La Liga is a class above the rest.
