    Wouldn't such actions by him be in breach of his contract with Liverpool? They could fine him at least half his wages then.

    He's also a valuable commodity, his price dropa if he kicks up * and wants out, so for the sake of what? £4m or so saved wages, it may drop his price by £20m or so.

    Doesn't make business sense, so it wouldn't happen.

    I would have agreed with you a while ago, but he's proven he's a huge liability now. He'll miss a good chunk of Liverpool's Champions League campaign, and their league campaign (again).

    How valuable can a player be when he isn't available? Also, we all know it's only a matter of time before he does the same thing again.

    if he still claims it was because he fell / lost his balance then how can he make promises it will never happen again...

    Man Up son...... admit that you bit a player , then lied about it, and also mention how ashamed you are that your team mates / officials were idiots to think that the rest of the world would believe THAT *...

    nobody doubts your ability ...... but expecting people to support a liar and cheat is naive in the extreme. Be a man , when you get caught be RESPONSIBLE for YOUR OWN ACTIONS... that is what all honourable people do..

    He missed a chunk last season and still got player of the year. It's not * like that, that effects it, a player throwing a strop will though.

    Maybe if he'd been available all season Liverpool would have won the league though. The guy is a * nightmare.

    If I were Brendan Rodgers I'd be telling my chief executive to get me the best deal possible for him, allowing me funds to buy someone who is actually sane. If Barcelona are offering £30 million plus Alexis Sanchez I'd be all over that deal.
