FS! I feel for Suarez but I had to laugh at that.

 

It's not a matter of letting him off, it's perfectly legitimate to claim (as I do) that he should face sanctions and at the same time claim his punishment is disproportionate (especially the extra stuff about not training etc) and that he's the victim of yet another media witch hunt. It's frankly sickening to listen to thugs like Shearer on their high horse about this, Shearer's assault on Lennon was far, far worse than what Suarez did. Even Chiellini thinks the punishment was too severe (what a decent guy he seems BTW).

Having said that, I wish he'd stop lying. It's so obvious from the video and the bite mark (not to mention the fact that he's done it twice before!) that he did it. The fact that he keeps lying about it makes me think that maybe he lied about the Evra thing too and really was racist.

I know what he did wasnt as bad as deliberately going over the top or elbowing to the face....i mean, getting a bite like that is hardly going to injure you enough to prevent you playing......but it is disgusting, and a terrible example to kids.

Its what animals do, and whilst i love animals and forgive them their biting, i do not excuse him, as he apparently has a brain!Its just disgusting, end of story.

Personally i would have given him about a 2 year ban from International football and not from domestic football, as i do think Liverpool are innocent victims here.

He deserves everything he gets the *, 3rd * time for gods sake no way is his punishment too harsh. If he gets his move to madrid or barca you could easily see him do it again probably in an el classico or something with the way them games flare up.

 

Yeah, this being the 3rd time means that any claim that the punishment is too harsh is flimsy. He obviously hasn't learned from the other times, what else are FIFA to do? You can't be biting people.

When he got banned for biting Ivanovic he was still able to play for Uruguay. The fact he's banned for Liverpool when playing for his country is very harsh on the club. Thankfully he'll be barca's problem soon.
