    Actually hope for the sake of Liverpool he doesn't get too big a punishment this time. They'd have done well to get top four last season without him.

    Harsh IMO. 3 or 4 game would have been proportionate. Also, even if you disagree and think he deserved such a long ban, it doesn't seem fair that Liverpool suffer for something he did while playing for Uruguay. His ban last season surely cost them the title in the end, but at least he got that for something he did playing for Liverpool; this time they'll miss him for a similar chunk of the season through no fault of theirs. If it had to be 18 games, it should have been 18 international games.

    Even Chiellini said it was harsh. Violent conduct would have been enough, quite silly how FIFA have given into the media more than the FA did with their overly excessive 10 game ban.

    Anyways he'll be tearing up La Liga in no time and the English media will be crying when there'll be no players of his quality left in their pitiful declining league.

    Aye 4 month is a long time.

    Think they said on talksport the day that Zidane only got a 3 match ban for that headbutt even though it was one of the best headers ive ever seen on a pitch.

    Should of only been an international ban imo. Although what he did was terrible, fifa caved to media pressure. If they'd have only banned him for say 5 matches, they would of got so much stick for it, so they went the other way and went well over the top.

    Seriously but, the ban is shocking, Liverpool should attempt to get it lowered. A * measly bite. Folk are exaggerating aswell. Neville was on BBC saying Suarez has done it 2-3 times in England - he has done it once in England!
