Thankfully bar the usual few yellow toothed scouse mutants on Sky Sports News there are very few apologists creeping onto the media trying to make out this behaviour is anything but insulting to sport.

He's been given a 10 match ban by the FA committee.

Surely there will be an appeal.

All it would consist of is: 'how many matches was Defoe suspended for when he bit an opponent?'

As much as I hate this *, 10 matches is a bit extreme. I reckon 5 would have been easily enough.

    Can't say I'm not chuffed though:smiley-laughing002:

Not really he was already banned for 7 games in Holland for the same offence it's clear this never made him think twice about doing it again.

The referee spotted the Defoe incident and booked him for it, so it never went to the F.A.

I am far from a fan of Liverpool and Suarez, but * me 10 games ban is far to extreme!!
If that was a English player that did that it would have been 4 games at most..

Speaking as someone who doesn't give a * about English football, I think it's extreme. The three match ban for violent conduct with a further 3 games for the severity, would have sufficed.

TBH, I think they've got it right!

He's been involved in some of the highest profile disciplinary matters in recent footballing history and been given some lengthy bans... AND HE STILL CAN'T LEARN TO BEHAVE HIMSELF!

Well, if the lad can't keep himself in check, then someone has to try and hammer some sense into him (and lets be honest... Liverpool are like a sappy daddy of a club who have shown time and again that they can't do it themselves!!!).

Just like in a criminal court... if you're found guilty of something, then your previous convictions should be taken into account when sentencing!

The only sad thing about it is that it makes a summer move almost a certainty and it will be a shame to no longer see such a talent in the EPL.

    10 games ffs :smiley-laughing002:

Liverpool should seriously consider cashing in on him in the summer I think.
