If football had any integrity left he would be drummed out of the game in England, not so much for yesterday but the constant stream of scummy behaviour which frankly sullies the sport, racism, constant diving, biting and being a general * are his forte and he doesnt seem to take the hint to cut it out.

Liverpool however in their usual sycophantic way I am sure will have none of it for no other reason that they would be relegation fodder without him, all that said I really hope they dont go down their usual "victims" road and blame everyone else for their own faults and behaviour taking no responsibility for anything they do.

Lets hope t shirts are not present at their next game and this time they learn to take things on the chin for once!

Merseyside Police have confirmed that Suarez will not face police action after Ivanovic ruled out making a complaint against him.

Liverpool took the easy option fine no ban unlike Ajax , also class the way they use Hillsborough as pr for damage limitation.

As much as i love this guy he obviously has issues and needs to address this as its not the 1st time he has been done for biting, a great footballer but he has embarrased Liverpool fc with his actions and is in the last chance saloon as far as im concerned, Liverpool have fined him today and Luis has asked for his fine to be donated to the Hillsborough Support Group.

I'm no Ajax fan, but you've got to admire the way they dealt with Suarez when he did the same thing in Holland.

Also, Liverpool's fine was such a crass PR stunt, I was amazed. A club should say that a fine is going to 'a charity', not 'charity x'. It looks so, so bad.

Statement from Fergie on the incident,

I've just seen the footage and clearly Suarez tried to eat the lad alive and as such he should be up on a charge of attempted murder, it's almost as bad as the brutal assualt on RVP, * disgrace !

They should sell him while he is still worth something plenty of clubs in Italy are interested. However good he is he just is not worth the grief. Suarez like Barton will never get rid of that side of their character.

According to Sam Wallace on Twitter, a woman just called 5 Live to blame Suarez for her son being bitten by a fellow pupil at school today.

Liverpool forward Luis Suarez charged with violent conduct
The FA has charged Liverpool forward Luis Suarez with violent conduct.

The charge follows an incident with Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in yesterday’s fixture at Anfield [21 April 2013].

The incident was not seen by the match officials and has therefore been retrospectively reviewed – click here for a video explanation of ‘not seen incidents’.

It is alleged that the conduct of Suarez constitutes violent conduct and it is The FA’s contention that the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient in these circumstances.

Suarez has until 6pm on Tuesday 23 April to respond to the charge, thereafter an Independent Regulatory Commission will be convened this Wednesday, 24 April.

Click here for full details of The FA's Disciplinary Procedures.

    Re-read the thread.

I wasn’t the one who brought the Anglo-Saxons into this discussion. Although, since they were mentioned, I felt it appropriate to point out that the bullying and harassment of those exhibiting dissenting views was a common Anglo-Saxon tactic.

Nothing I have written is intended to wind-up anyone. If people felt my views were unworthy of discussion then they are free to ignore them, instead I was treated to a barrage of abuse, a * poem and offers of physical affection both in the thread and through private mail. So if anything, TRF and I were the ones being trolled.

As regards Suarez, it is my opinion that he may have nibbled on his opponent’s arm – something which probably warranted a yellow card, not imprisonment – but the hysterical reaction of Ivanovic was worthy of a yellow card also. I wasn’t the only one who took this view BTW… earlier in the thread others had expressed incredulity at the oaf falling to the floor over something so trivial.

Aye, I'm with you. His country was about to get knocked out of the World Cup. I really don't like Suarez but I don't blame him for that one bit. If Gyan had scored, we wouldn't be still talking about hit. The best bit was the other Uruguayan player who tried to handball it as well haha.

Absolute disgrace to football. I would have him right out the door in a heart beat, don't care how good he is, imagine having a player at our club conducting himself like that we would not tolerate that, diabolical.

    Utter bullshit.

In the eyes of the rest of Scottish football, Neil Lennon is just as bad as Suarez, yet we love him. If Wanyama had got his * out and * in Messi's face after scoring vs Barca, not one single Celtic fan in Paradise would be complaining or criticising him, they would be full of euphoric hilarity and would love Big Vic even more!

Denial lads, it's a wonderful thing!

Celtic have had a great many * playing for them down the years, and will do again. They will be hated by other fans and loved by us, this is football.
Get used to it and get over it.
