Their comments were way over the top.

Souness was basically suggesting they should get rid of their best player, simply because he had a little nibble on an opponent’s arm, something for which he has now apologised.

BTW Ivanovic’s reaction was just as ridiculous. A man of that size throwing himself to the ground because of a little tingle in his arm. He should have been booked also.

Ivanovic's reaction was absolutely exemplary. He had every right to knock Suarez into the Kop.

He is a dirty * with plenty of previous and Liverpool would be well within their rights to punt him.

Aye Ivanovic done well to keep his cool . I doubt his fellow Serb Vidic would have had the same reaction .

He clearly didn't throw himself to the ground. Suarez went for the bite and Ivanovic reacted by turning round, probably in an attempt to lamp him, and lost his balance, hence the fall.

As Hammer said, Ivanovic's reaction was completely fine, nothing wrong with it.

No he wouldn’t, for that would be assault occasioning actually bodily harm, which is a criminal offence.

    Not gauging.

Anyone wearing a Chelsea shirt should from now on be bitten.

Biting??? FFS, that's what toddlers do at playgroup! It's right up there with spitting... you break someones skin with a bite, then you leave them open to all manner of infections (the mouth is one of the most germ-infested parts of the body).

... and the Chelsea lad didn't throw himself to the ground. He swung round to push Jaws off him and lost his balance.

Suarez is undoubtedly a very good footballer, but he behaves like a complete *!

That is, quite frankly, utter nonsense.

Ivanovic knew what he was doing, he was trying to get Suarez sent off. If the referee had been in any way competent he would have yellow carded both of them for their immature behaviour, Ivanovic in particular. Trying to get an opponent sent off is reprehensible behaviour.

That's bollocks. Diving with no contact is reprehensible. Telling the ref 'that * just bit me' when some * just bit you, is perfectly alright.

I won't cast judgement on you without any context, Tim.

Did the person on the receiving end slight you in any way? :smiley-laughing002:
