In the hyndland area it's definitely 50/50. I went to the school which there were slightly more huns but lots of locals that went to st tams. Broomhill/jordanhill all very much 50/50. Certainly no obvious swing either way. Stayed in west end all my life (27 years)

Most areas are really round about 50/50 these days tbh.

Ironically, some of the staunchest areas are in enemy territory. I.e. as we all know Bridgeton is hun central and there are loads of hardcore tims in the gorbals, govan and other southside areas which are stereotypically categorised as "hun" places.

Only places I can think of that are definitely more Tim are Royston/Robroyston, Townhead, Springburn, Milton, and most North and North east areas.

The most hun areas are actually outside of Glasgow, like Larkhall, Cumnock, Kilwinning and other scumholes.

I'd say Hyndland is at least 50/50. I see more Celtic fans here than them. But maybe that's because they're all getting the train like me.

I live in east ren which isn't a part of the map because it's wrongly not part of the Glasgow boundaries. I used to think it was a hun area basing it on school but I was forgetting of the other catholic schools like St Ninians and St Lukes.

That might be because The Rock is a wee bit of a Celtic shop...

I'm from Partick mate so I know the area well n' all....the only allegiance people in Hyndland and Dowanhill have is to money :icon_mrgreen: Clubs like Celtic and Rangers have no cultural traction in a place like that. There will be plenty of fans, but them being in that area is inconsequential.

I think the Summerston/Maryhill area is more 50/50, But you do see more Celtic fans when it comes to match days with some of the more Celtic Orientated pubs being more popular than most at the top end of Maryhill.

Springburn I would say is slightly majority Celtic although there is a big orange halls and walks etc. St Augustines chapel has a strong presence on Ashgill road in Milton maybe that's why it is seen as majority Celtic. I would argue that the only real Celtic strongholds left nowadays are the Gorbals (although debatable) and Royston (garngad) for the older ones. Sighthill and Royston had a strong catholic community as did the townhead back in the 1960/70s. Nowadays Sighthill is getting ripped apart with the high flats getting demolished as we speak, and those remaining are either Eastern Europeans or African refugees plus a very small handful of older ones who never moved away. Royston is similar in that a lot of African families etc are now there although it is still a strong Celtic area that used to have street parties and green and white bunting across the street!

Glasgow is completely mixed when it comes to football support, so with all due respect that map is a misleading at the very least. Barring a few areas such as Bridgeton there is no way of knowing who supports who :smiley-laughing002:

Parkhead is simply not a Celtic area it so hard to believed I'd say its pretty 50/50 it probably isn't even that if say there is more Huns than tims and I've styled here most my life... You can never really tell it's extremely mixed and totaly nothing like bridgeton or govan

This thread is so stereo typical! Your all basing this in Catholics and Protestants... Sorry am not having that maybe you can do an accurate answer with them not us we are a mixed club and always have been! It shouldn't go on how many orange halls or catholic schools there is... I find a way of finding an area is more is normal things like tops people you know and they know of pubs etc a really good way would be to find how many csc's leave fronm these areas

Always loved the story about how some banger came at Charnley with a samurai sword when Thistle trained in Ruchill Park. Chic chased him down Maryhill Rd with a traffic cone! :56:

Aye, id say the whole North to North East of Glasgow from Maryhill through Ruchill, Possil, Cadder, Milton, Springburn, Petershill, Sighthill, Barlornock, Barmulloch, Germiston, Robroyston, Blackhill and Royston - Is probably 55-45 infavour of Celtic, maybe even 60-40.
