There you go again. On page 4 of this thread you criticised the girl for her views on "Northerner's and said you hoped she was a plant. Yet in saying "Most Irish people don't like Northerners" are you not doing exactly what she did and suggesting people from the North of Ireland are not Irish ?

Whether people choose to support Celtic or not is irrelevant to their views on whether Irish people born in Derry or Armagh are Irish or not.

You are right I didn't see your post before I posted though. However that doesn't really alter the fact you have consistently said throughout this thread that the Provo's dealt drugs.

Not sure of the ratio of northern or southern Celtic supporters on here. Or whether the northern ones all dislike the southern ones but I would suspect not.

Have to say when I went to University in Limerick and travelled via Dublin to Glasgow I didn't find your views to be representative of the southern Celtic supporters I know.

No never been to Waterford but used to live in Donegal and used to work in Dublin, Cork and have been to Galway on holidays when I was a boy. Never experienced any hate. Must be just you Waterford folk.

Have you traveled Ireland and done a survey or do by most Irish people you mean your friends. I would think it unlikely that the Irish people in the north of Ireland dislike themselves.

To be fair. I think I have only met one person from Waterford who I met when I was living in Liverpool in the late 90's and I can tell you he was about as far from this guy as you can get.

I know you were only joking and this is partly in answer to his question about do you know anyone from his area. I am just saying that obviously not everybody in Waterford shares his views.

There's no such place as 'NI'.

No one can deny that, no matter how much you may hate them, there are people in NI (who form a majority) that don't want to unite with ROI....and as I said earlier people in the ROI may see this lack of support as a betrayal.

Pretty sure Churchill offered to unify Ireland for the Republic's support in WW2...that's probably a major factor in People's opinions.

Pretty sure every nation in the world recognizes NI, even the ROI.

Would you like the British to grant independence to parts of Scotland that voted for it and retain those areas where a majority of the people wanted to stay in the UK. No reason why Glasgow could not be partitioned like Berlin.

NI was already distinct with its own Parliament before the free-state, plus Scotland votes for Independence. The ROI was seceded after a revolution...there is clear differences.

    Pretty sure it's not.

With the greatest respect you seem to have this the wrong way round. You keep trying to suggest ( I am not sure why) that people in the south don't like people in the north because they see them as traitors (hence you keep using the word betrayal). Yet all the evidence in this thread so far ( the girl in the video. Waterford Celtic) suggests that those that don't like people from the north view them as troublemakers and people that want to keep fighting.

I genuinely don't get how you are squaring these two things up.

Finally personally speaking as northern Ireland is an artificially created Sectarian state I believe what the majority want is not the relevant question. If there is a vote on Irish unification it would only be relevant if it was an all Ireland vote.
