If he is signed as a rotation player, why not just recall Bangura? He is a far superior player then Doyle, and he is young and will improve.

Agreed. He won't be main signing if he does sign.

For (at a guess bearing in mind what he will be on down South) a million a year on wages, i'd certainly hope that isn't the case!:smiley-laughing002:

Wouldn't sign him as a replacement and for backup I'd rather just use the youngsters than have these pointless loan signings and stuff, just another place in the squad keeping Atajic back

I'd only be happy with him signing if we also sign two additional strikers.

I think he would score plenty goals for us.

Doyle and another striker would do me, although that'd possibly require Watt to go on loan to get game time.

Doyle has one of the worst scoring records that ive seen since 2009, is 29 years of age (Wont bring any cash back when he leaves), Reject in a league 1 side, on about 20k a week(?).

Bangura is a young lad who have scored/set up goals in every season he played in Sweden, and didnt really get a chance here. So why he should not be given a chance before Doyle is strange.

Doyle sits on 112 goals in 366 games since 2001.

Doyle has scored more goals than Bangura has had hot dinners.

Bangura is t good enough. He's been loaned out twice. He showed nothing in training or when he did play.

A striker who even thinks he's good enough for Celtic should be scoring for fun in Sweden.

I doubt we will make anything on Bangura

A striker who is good enough for Celtic should score in the Championsship as well. Especially if its a replacement for Hooper. Never mind League one. Teams like Helsingborg/Malmö/Göteborg/Elfsborg/AIK are all better then most the SPL sides to be fair.

... And still they all want him out of there.

Im not trying to be a * or something. I just cant see how any fan with ambition would want this guy at Celtic. How in the world should a player at the late stage of his career, who is not wanted at a League One side take us forward?

Only because they now need to cut the wage bill after relegation!

Exactly my thoughts. Not that I have anything against Doyle, I just don't see what this signing would bring to the club. He's not good enough to be Hooper's replacement and he's to old and too expensive to be a fringe player.
