Genuine one, The Coates Memorial Church,

As an ex-Paisley guy I past this everyday, an amazing piece of architecture.

Never been inside or climbed the tower, :54:

I got the chance to go up the Shard last weekend - the view is pretty cool and before entering I just shrugged it off as just another building. But, inside and the structure itself is amazing. Fantastic engineering indeed.

I like it when they re-build old buildings that were accidentally (or deliberately) destroyed.

    For example:

    Frauenkirche in Dresden, before:

Frauenkirche in Dresden, after and now:

It's not so much for the architectural beauty of it - I just like the idea that buildings are not always lost to us, at least in an abstract sense.

I've always thought this building was impressive coming around "the beltway" in the Washington, DC area.

It is actually the MORMON TEMPLE.

I guess you know who they are. The racist "religion" that teaches that Jesus was Satan's brother and that black people are the decendents of Cain. They are unclean, so they have to go to a different church, and aren't allowed in the mormon churches with the white people. Oh, and everyone gets their own planet when they die.

    Mitt Romney.

    Those guys.

Anyways. Their chapel is * spectacular from the road. Never been up close to it, but you have to see it.

IFC 2 Hong Kong. Dominates the Central skyline

Taipei 101 - Amazing because it stands so tall in a city that is regularly battered by typhoons and earthquakes.

    Aye, I do agree.

I love the fact I get to visit to much, every angle the skyline looks amazing. Especially since they are developing Kowloon side now with this beauty being the flagship building.

I really like the food, but I am honest I usually just stick to eating western food. Ebeneezers Kebabs are amazing.

The glass skydeck hanging from the top of the "hole" is something everyone should visit.

Shanghai is developing at an amazing rate and wont be long before it is taking over Hong Kong for the most impressive skyline in Asia, possibly the world.

When the Shanghai Tower is finished it will be absolutely stunning...

Just to add this. Took during my last trip to Hong Kong, had a View over to Kowloon side. I think the new ICC building really is beautiful. At night it has a lighting display all over it.

To be fair, as big and impressive as the twin towers where, they are not exactly the pinnacle of beautiful design.

Was never a fan of them.

When you consider they built this in 1902. It is not that gound breaking. When you consider how easily it fell, also not that well built.
