As there seem to be alot of views from both sides on TalkCeltic, i think a poll would be a good way to decide..

    So Yes or No???

    No.

Too great a chance they'll get someone innocent. I don't trust the justice system here.

    This.
It has happened in the past and would do so again. People like the Birmingham 6 and Guildford 4 would no doubt be dead.

    No.

Can't trust the justice system with anything let alone the decision to end someone's life.

    No

If somebody murdered one of my family members I would much rather them suffer in a jail for the rest of there life, rather then be punished with death in which there is no suffering.

Nope. Make prisons a proper punishment? Yeah - no problem with that. Namby pamby * set up for many at present. But state-authorised executions for crimes, no matter how heinous........not an idea I can personally stomach. Plus the propensity for * ups also makes it an illogical step.

Yes but only for misdemeanors such as pressing the buttons at pelican crossings and running away.

    Yes.

For specific crimes I believe in the death penalty.

I believe the death penalty should be the victims family pulling the plug on the killer

What are these specific crimes that deserve the death penalty?

    Tax evasion hopefully.

    No.

As I have said before, because we are on the side of the angels, we shouldn't use the methods of the devil.

No for me. Loss of liberty is sufficient punishment for any crime in my opinion. Some people should never be let out.

But what if you are getting rid of someone who would be considered the devil for murdering someone themselves??

No, but people who kill kids should be locked up forever and every day at 12 noon they should be given a kicking, with famliy members of the child given first option, and this would happen day after day, as long as they are alive
