The penalty was a consequence of his terrible positional play and slowness to react..

 

He has made to many mistakes so they are now highlighted. Good back up but should not be in the team for important games.

That's bullshit and you know it! If he had let the him through and they had scored everybody would be slating him for that! As I said a scape goat guy was winning balls in the air as usual keeping defence composed at times until that happend

It was a penalty all day long and completely avoidable. You said he couldn't avoid getting out the way well you're wrong. He could have checked his run to avoid contact. As soon as a striker cuts across a defender like that, especially when they are last man & the consequences will be a red & a penalty then he should be doing everything he can to avoid making contact, you see it all the time. Any striker worth their salt is told to cut across the defender like Shalk did as they know the defender can't tackle them, well Ambrose did and a better, calmer defender wouldn't have for obvious reasons.

Nonsense, I wouldn't have slated him. How could you slate him for doing the right thing? The guy still has a bit to do before he sticks the ball in the net. If he scores then we have 75mins to go on & win it. The worst case scenario was for Ambrose to go into panic mode, clatter the guy, get sent off & leave us up * creak.

 

this thread is a nightmare that should have ended about 2 seasons ago at least.

 

Lustig is the one who let the guy thru but there is no excuse for such a reckless challenge, Efe just keeps making mistakes, some people keep talking about a 2nd chance, this was his 20th chance and as he did before he blew it.

 

I think he got caught flat footed for the ball through as well. It's a stonewall penalty, and then it has to be a red card. Another big game when he has made an * of it. It doesn't matter how many good games he has in the league, the fact is, he cannot be trusted in big games. This has been proven time and time again.

 

Ambrose let the ball through, that he should have cut out, Lustig let his man run off him, Ambrose desperately trying to make up for it just runs into him.
