    I was one who always tried to give efe the benefit of doubt until he became indefensible last season...
    I really do hope he can turn it around as there is a player in there,cut out the mistakes,slackness and switching off and you have a good player..

    Pretty much agree with all of this.

    Think the guy has all the physical & technical attributes to go wherever he wants in football. It's these dreaded 'brain farts' that cost us. He'll get away with it in the majority of games but, as Juventus proved, top class opposition will punish you.

    You'd imagine that, at 24, and still gaining CL and international experience that he can improve on this aspect of his play.

    This guy would really grow on me if Lennon used him as a midfielder more than a centre back.

    He seems more comfortable in the middle of the park and we all know he likes to get forward anyway.

    Think a lot of people get hung up on the Juventus game when they judge Ambrose. Yes, he has moments of indecision but so do many other players.

    One good thing about our defence is that it contains players comfortable on the ball; Van Dijk,Izzy,Mulgrew,Ambrose,Wilson,Matthews,and Lustig can all start attacks from the back. That is what lacked in previous years and how we struggled to break-down sides.

    This defence is much more flexible than the days of Heid & Hoof.
