    You think?

I don't see his confidence as having changed, or being a problem... other than it seems to exceed his ability.

Definitely, he looks shaky as * instead of being very assured like he was in his first 6 months or so here. Fans get on his back for the slightest wee thing isn't helping either. He needs * dropped.

We should not just persist with him purely because he can dribble with the ball. That means nothing playing at centre half most of the time, especially in this league that we play in. If he can't actually head the ball, isn't strong and is positionally *, then there is no point in him being at centre half.

He will probably get another shot at the centre of midfield, I just hope it isn't in the cup final..

Our hand is pretty forced for the cup final, given that Wanyama and kayal are both suspended and broony is unlikely to be fit. He'll probably go with Mulgrew and Ledley in the middle though

He doesn't have the ability to play like that. He isn't actually that good with the ball. He's more confident (than the other cb's) and fast enough to occasionally recover from his mistakes but that's about it. The most beneficial reason for him playing there at home as opposed to away matches is that it's less disastrous when he inevitably * up. Less pressing from the opposition.

We need a proper playmaker brought in. Guys in the style of Ozil, Mata, Silva, Coutinho. There's plenty of them kicking about and we desperately lack creativity. So much so that the manager's resorted to playing Hooper in an attacking midfield role and Ambrose as a deep lying playmaker. It's ridiculous.

His best positiin is right back he doesn't have the focus or discipline to play as a centre back and I'm sure at the africa cup of nations he was played as a right back and was outstanding there

It's a different style of football in Africa, he wouldn't suit RB either in Scotland tbh. I think he should be punted

What a horrible, horrible idea. Just now, you could give him the biggest pitch possible and he would * it up. He shouldn't be playing anywhere just now. I've never liked the idea of him in midfield, don't even know where/who first thought of Ambrose as a CM. If he can't control the ball with the time and space that you get at CB then how the * do you expect him to control the ball in the hustle and bustle of central midfield?

He was decent until he went on international duty, since then he's been *. He was torn apart by Juve, the fans (myself included) and even a player turned on him then. I think that would destroy anyone's confidence. Since then he just hasn't put in back to back reasonable performances. I think he should be dropped completely, and that should've happened ages ago, in the hope that fans aren't on his back every week and he can build a bit of confidence over the summer.

If we get a decent offer (unlikely) then we should sell. If not, then give him a wee chance to match his early form, but if he doesn't manage it we should cut our losses and get rid asap.

Agreed and, arguments for whether or not he should've been played aside, his confidence has been * since then.

His best position is left back... at home.

He played right back at home v Dundee this season and it was brutal. He got subbed off before half time!

Ambrose needs sold, in fact he never should have been bought in the first place. He looked just as wayward and out of control on his your tube video, as he is in real life.

All these comments not remind you of someone last year? Who nearly everybody now loves? Kelvin wilson, sammy. They managed to turned it round, so can ambrose.

I think Ambrose's confidence is shot. All players struggle when they lose their confidence. A few weeks off and a solid pre-season under his belt will do him the world of good. He's a better player than some people are making him out to be.

People how say saying he has always been * have short memories, earlier on this season plenty of people were singing his praises. He was cracking for us against Barcelona, had plenty of good games before the start of this year. It is obvious that since the African Nations he hasn't been the same player. When you consider some of the players who have been given a secondyear to turn it around in recent history he more than deserves it. I agree he shouldn't have been in the first team recently but there is definitely a player in there. Just needs to stop messing about on the ball.

Give the guy a fecking chance, yes his form dropped dramatically once he came back from African Cup of Nations and his confidence was gone after the Juventus game, think Neil should just leave him out the team and not try and get him to work through it cause it's not helped. Hopefully he will gain his confidence back and show his form of the 1st half of the season. There's been a few in 2nd half season who have had a drop in form mainly Wanyama and Hooper difference is they could work through it, it's obvious Efe can't.
