He's fairly doing his best to silence his critics now, since the Juve game.

I stand by my earlier claims that he is more of an attacking player, rather than a defender :smiley-laughing002:

He's a weird mixture of different styles.

He's brilliant in the air but he mostly doesnt head the ball with any direction even though he wins near enough every header he goes for, I think it might be because he's quite lightweight and probably scared of being clattered he seems to rush headers. He's fast, has a really good touch and is a sensational dribbler of the ball - actually better than most wingers, has a good range of passing too and a good eye for a pass. He doesnt have many defensive qualities like you say though, like marking, positioning but he does look more like a defender than a midfielder or winger to me.

He'll probably improve defensively as he's only played a good level of football for 3 years, before then he played in Nigeria and the Nigeria national team doesnt know what tactics are so their Club teams must be like pub teams. He'll probably pick up more defensive tips playing with us and the experience of playing in Europe and Internationals he'll get better and better.

He could/should have had about 10 goals this season, takes up some brilliant positions in the box, but he's got a head like a 50p coin :56:. Great reaction to the juventus game though, well in big man :50:

2 in 2 for the big man, leave it continue could have him and stokes battling it out for top goal scorers :56:

I believe hes a great player, said it even after the minute after the Juve game ended, but hes definately got some making up to do with the fans and hes going the right way about it!

Get the 4th goal against Juventus and youl be forgiven Efe :50:

Maybe he'll send you some flowers and a note that says, "To Jungo. Sorry I hurt you. Love and hugs, Efe."

I was going to state the same thing, then I realized it was Padmill who posted it :smiley-laughing002:

He got caught on the ball a couple of times tonight.

I love his charges out of defence with the ball but sometimes he holds on to it far too long.

Hopefully we can coach that out of him (the holding on to it, not the mazy runs)

Wanyama will be sold in the summer window and Efe will take up his role in midfield. He'll fit this position like a magic glove. Just sayin'.

I noticed Efe headed straight for Neil Lennon after scoring tonight. I think he's really appreciated Neily sticking by him publicly and taking him off early on Saturday so he could get a standing ovation from the fans.

Clearly been working on his heading, that was a quality header whereas the one at the weekend went through the keeper last nights was a glancer right into the corner.

Big Johan must be teaching him the ways.

I hope that isn't true, Efe is a very good player but he doesn't have the same physical presence as Vic and isn't as intimidating for the opposition. IMO he doesn't suit that role and if we sell Vic, I'd like to see us buy a replacement

I'd just give Kayal his place back in midfield

Aye, I thought that was brilliant of Efe. Also shows, yet again, how good his attitude is.
