Or just simply change the formation around a bit pick players better suited for Europe.

    Exactly...

People are saying he's instrumental to us because of his form last season.

So far under Deila he's been anything but instrumental. Just because he had a team built around him last year doesn't mean he's undroppable fucksake. To be fair I don't think he'll be here for long anyway. Really can't see him losing weight and working as much as Ronny wants, might be wrong but I'd get rid while we can still get money for a fat 31 year old with a first touch like a rhombus.

I didn't mean to get some people's knickers in a knot. I get my opinion that started this new conversation about offloading Commons if a decent bid comes in and replacing him with someone who may perform in Europe, where I feel Commons hasn't.

I'm not jumping on Commons poor start to the season and actively seeking to punt him. I'm just saying if there's an opportunity to make a decent profit and replace him, we should consider it.

Great servant for the club but all things comes to an end. That may be a season or two, or three, or four too early.

It baffles me how people are wanting him sold, guy was our best player last season, top goalscorer etc.

We are only a few games into this season (just out of pre-season really)and hes done nothing that bad that says hes lost that and needs moved on. If that was the case we could move on about 90% of our team at times.

To people saying 'he doesn't do it in Europe' you are lucky if we get 8-9 games a year in Europe and that is if we qualify, none of our full team done the business in CL last year plus I remember him scoring a few or playing well in a few CL games.

Our bread and butter, however, is the league. 38 games plus cup competitions and in that Commons was key to a lot of our play.

He has done wonderful for us domestically. No doubt about it. Would I keep him for domestic duties, yes. If someone offered £4m+, I think it's a no brainer. We'll win the league without him.

I agree, we haven't had the best of starts. However, I can't see Commons being the man for us in Europe, where we are judged on progression. He was rightly left out of the team against maribor.

I'd play him in the domestic cups and league, wouldn't want him in the team for Europe and if someone put in a decent bid for him, I'd sell him.

A lot of people getting on their high horses over * all in here. I don't think anybody has said Commons is a * player and there can't be more than one or two who have said Celtic should sell him.

What people have said is that he might not fit into Ronny Deila's style of play and that it was a good move by Deila to leave Commons out of the team last night. Neither of these things can be completely refuted.

Ulsterscot's coming on here to tell us how * stupid, uninformed and disloyal we, who dare to criticise any Celtic employee even slightly, all are is getting boring now. Get over yerself for * sake. Your UberTimmery doesnae make you any more of a fan than anyone else.

    Right, don't shoot the messenger.

My dad was telling me earlier that he works with someone who's nephew is in the youth team (I know how it sounds so far). Well, the youth player was saying how Commons is out of favour at the moment, Ronny thinks he's overweight and unfit. Unfortunately my dad doesn't know the players name but he's going to ask the guy tomorrow.

Make of that what you will.

    Fair enough.

Personally I think it sounds very feasible.

I don't think a youth player would know what Ronny thinks of Kris Commons to be honest. I also think it's quite possible the guy your dad works with talks *.

Commons does look overweight. Not quite Pre-season Stokes overweight, but still...

I think he will be away by the end of the window if we get a decent offer as has been rumoured.

I'm not so sure. They all train together so why not? Commons has always been a bit on the heavy side and he's never been full of running. If he is left out of the starting XI tonight then that may well be true.

He has always looked overweight. He's just a stocky guy. He's quite muscular and short . He's definitely not fat or overweight at all.

I was told by a semi reliable source that west brom have been sniffing about and he is likely to be away. Been told from an extremely reliable source (not quite horses mouth but as good as) that ronny doesn't fancy commons which would lead me to think the first part is also true

I hope it is true and he's sold. Never liked him as a player and it could benefit the team as a whole if he leaves and someone else with a bit more to their game takes his place.
