Would surprise me if we got offered 7.5 million for him and Lawwell has not drove him down there himself.

Nah that would cost too much in fuel. He'll have been given a one way ticket on the megabus. #beceltic

It does. Naka is sort of similar, and he is still good. Lubo is the prime example of a player that defies age.

Just in and read this about WBA and KC.
Nearly fell of my chair but then I read the press blurb again. It says a £7.5m deal. So if he is offered a 3 year contract at £30k pw that equates to £4.7m, leaving £2.8m. If he then gets a signing on fee of a conservative 10% that would eat up another £280k, leaving a transfer fee of £2.5m. So I think the whole deal would be £7.5m over the length of the contract of which £2m-2.5m would be the transfer fee, which would seem more realistic.

What I am talking about is that in the Press it refers to a 'Deal worth £7.5m', not a Transfer Value. So based on a 3 year contract, the Transfers Fee would be about £2m-£2.5m and when you add in wages, signing on fees, you get to a £7.5m 'Deal'.

Think 7.5 is a steal for Commons. Hes getting on a bit and chances are he wont have the same kinda season he did last year so take the money and run..AS long as we start getting players in.

Aye it's a good deal but knowing the fact we won't replace him just doesn't make it worth . He can turn games And has vital experience and sometimes the only one who looks a celtic player so no not worth it if i knew we were going to replace him i would take 7.5 in a heartbeat likes of if we signed snodgrass last year it would be an easy choice

I just figured you must be joking. When has a potential transfer ever been broken down like this? When a player is being sold the selling team doesn't give a toss what his wages are, they want to know how much is going into their pockets.

If we are going to sell him, which I hope we're not, we better * replace him before he's sold

Just talking to my mate and he was telling me there is a food bank being set up in Milton (Glasgow) for the month. All the food was donated by Kris, top lad :50:

What's with all this sell our best players pish? Is that all we are now a feeder club for bigger teams! I will never accept that and neither should we.

Ok Lawell thinks that's our limit but we have to have more ambition than that. Best fans in the world ( his words) deserve much better.

I would actually be happy to sell Kris Commons if I believed two things:

    1. The board would give Ronny Deila a good chunk of the money to spend
    2. Ronny Deila or the scouts would identify an exciting attacking player to sign

    I certainly don't believe #1 and I have reservations about #2.

To be honest my confidence in everything surrounding Celtic has just been blootered to * over the last year. The lack of signings, the way Neil Lennon was allowed to walk away so easily, the appointment of a manager I have never heard of, the two messes against Legia and the lack of signings again has just left me feeling like we're going nowhere and everything's a * shambles. I am totally demoralised as far as Celtic goes.

I actually feel worse now than I did when John Barnes and Kenny Dalglish were here. Aye, that bad.

I don't want Kris to leave, but if we somehow managed to get £7.5m for him, considering his age and the price we paid to bring him here, it would be a spectacular piece of business.

The big question is though, how much of that would be reinvested in the squad and how much would line Lawwell's pockets?
