    Yip. Commons is better than Rakitic and Gotze. If the German's had Commons instead of Gotze they might no have needed extra time to beat Argentina.

    Where would Commons have even played for England? He's always been a Championship level player, let alone international. They have had similar players like Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard...you know, as much as we can love what Kris does for us, he was never going to play a key role on the big stage.

    In the 2010/11 season he scored 13 goals in 26 games with 2 assists in the Championship with Derby who finished 19th in the League. Lallana who played the same position scored 11 in 41 with 10 assists in the Championship the following season 2011/12 with Southampton who were 2nd.

    Lallana is now playing for England.

    Hard to say really if he could have stepped up and played in the Premiership then instead of coming to us. Not as if you need to be that special a player either Snodgrass, Dorrans, Charlie Adam, Maloney have all done ok or better than ok there.

    Yeah, well done to him, but to suggest that he has somehow now become a top European player is laughable. I hope I'm wrong, but he'll prove that again in Europe this year.
