That's probably because his talent would be less noticeable in a nationality pool of more talented players.

 

Hard to believe he only scored once in 31 appearances last season - got 7 already so far. I don't think 20 goals is out of the question if he continues this form.

 

I remember at the start of last season he was actually quite sharp but just couldn't find the net and then he got injured and never seemed to be able to get himself fully fit until those final couple of months of the season. It is great to see him back to his best this season though and I agree with you a 20 goal haul is not out of the question if he continues on this form with 7 so far. Getting a fully fit and confident Commons back this season has been so enjoyable to see.

 

In total he has 22 goals and 24 assists for us in 69 games, some record.

It is true though about nationalities and price tags tbf, but I think that is the world of football, if someone does not respect the nations game they won't be paying top dollar for it's players unless there exceptions to rules of course e.g Bale for Wales.

it's a shame Commons aint 3 years younger if he was I would slap a £10million tag on him now and while he will probably see out his career here I would still say £5million now. which is the very bare minimum I would want for any player right now besides from Paddy and Bangura who I would want £2million for.

so he has been involved in 46 goals in 69 games, I like the looks of that, if he aint scoring you know he's setting them up

 

Cracking stat. For some reason, I thought he had played way more than 69 games for us though. I was thinking closer to 80 or 90, but oh well.

What a shift he put in. Pure class to spend all night chasing the way he did.

 

Just loved the fact he kep the ball after winning so many times, very composed and astute!
Plus great to see him working so hard defensively.

 

I am not his biggest fan but I have to applaud his workrate on Wednesday, was first class.
