New Kits 13/14

We've been through this a number of times on other threads: Adidas would have to agree to hold off on the three strips as it doesn't suit hoops. Or we would have to have compromised hoops.

However, collar-less Adidas tops for other clubs - and especially national teams - are often classics, and as I said elsewhere, I would have Adidas back as Ireland kit supplier in a heartbeat.

If Adidas ever got the Celtic gig, they would be clever to somehow instead use the hoops as the stripes as a design. Unlikely i know, Ha! Q shock and horror! would be interesting to see what it looked like. But i must admit some of their generic templates are awful.

 

Every time Adidas have been faced with hoops, they either just put the stripes on top of them regardless or turn the sleeves white to accommodate the stripes, viz:

 

For the most part all awful templates, the second one would be ok with a better collar and neckline. And reduced stripes on the sleeves.

 

Yep. I don't think Adidas would be making any special allowances for us if they took over so I'd rather they didn't.

 

Those tops are vile.

 

I know. They're rotten. Adidas either come up with classics or disasters.

 

This is how DC used three stripes with the Adidas stripe back in the day. They represent DC,Maryland and Virginia. Luckily enough there is no sponsor to kill it and black and are easy to combine.

 

Aye your 80s and Italia 90 shirts were cool, their one main colour shirts are usually quite decent. I like Scotland's effort at the moment. But as usual with the Dassler chaps the collar is the prob, a tad big.

 

Why did they put 3 stripes across the chest when they have the stripes down the arms?

 

What about the brand ? They want to sign a new sponsor contract with us ?

 

No. Next season's sponsor is Irish cider producer Magner's.

 

Who knows haha. Thank * we now have a sponsor in place of the three stripes.

Since a few of you were on about adidas I may aswell post this shirt I made ages ago albeit on a pretty poor template.

 

Not too shabby needs a bit of tweaking, hoops a bit tighter near the top, and a white collar. But not a million miles away. Good effort.

Bit of a retro vibe about it, but quite like the look of this one.
