    yes i agree, it lets us find out what they are after, and once they accept i would not pay a penny more, even if derby go higher as they have let us no what they are after, and surely he would pick us

    If we've made up our mind that we want the guy, imo we're best going in early. Waiting for another team to become interested then trying to match their bid doesn't seem to be the most sensible option here, unless I'm missing something.
