    Holds the ball up well, scores plenty, lots of tricks, great positional sence and can play anywhere from midfield to attack. He would get better in our team. Where's the risk for 1.5m? Get him in even If hooper stays.

    Ive been wantin him signed for about 2 year but we never do :54: Lenny needs his baws kicked. Worst thing about it is, the papers always have on the last day of the window Russell is a target for Celtic etc and it gives you that wee bit of hope even though you know its not going to happen. Think this is the 3rd window in a row no we've been linked with him on the last day.

    He's definitely good enough, I don't know by people think otherwise. With the service he'd get a Celtic he's a 20+ goals a season player, no doubt. £1m is great value. And I don't buy the 'let him stay at United to improve the league' argument. Dundee United have been garbage all season.

    Plus they will punt him to England as soon as the first bid comes in.

    Im suprised more English teams havent been in for him. Teams like Norwich, Wigan, Southampton, Aston Villa etc could all do with him and any Championship team. Could be the new Snodgrass.

    Get him signed ffs. I have a feeling he is going to be another young SPL player who we let go and are going to regret it. Miku hasn`t worked out - rather dissapointing I must say - so we should Russell in to take his place

    GMS has improved more than him this season, he was the better player last season - now GMS looks better...but in a position we don't realyy need.

    Russel is probably needed more, to give us competition.

    Exactly miku is most Likely on the the equevilant of both there wages of which we would offer them. The way miku has played so far I dought we will offer him a perminant deal.

    I know him! He was Celtic daft when he was at school but when he went pro at United he put the Celtic stuff behind him to concentrate on being a quality player! I spoke to him not long after the offer we had rejected last year and he said he was glad that it was rejected, because he wanted to become a first team regular for united, score goals every week, instead of coming to Celtic and sitting on the bench every other week. The guy has a good head on his shoulders. I don't think he would come just now. A summer move would be best for United, him and us!
