you are seriously questioning the intelligence of others on this forum?

mate, who sells you the skunk you're smoking? i wouldn't mind his number if that's ok?

you are like a dog with a bone, a completely nonsensical dog and bone combination i might add, but a dog with a bone nonetheless.

I see what you're trying to say mate.. but you need a ball winning type of midfielder otherwise you get bullied. We have Kayal and Brown for that. If you have nobody in the middle of the park willing to work their * off to win the ball back and lay it off to a more creative player you're in the *.

Only if its his own family that are voting for it. As much as oor butch can ramble, I agree with him that Brown is not good enough. We have better players in all the positions he can play. Forrest on the right and any of Ledley, Kayal, Ki and Wanyama in the centre. I'm not a Brown hater as such but he is just not as useful as any of those players. If we got a good offer for him I'd snap the hand off of whoever was bidding.

Wanyama is way better than Brown in that role.

more technically gifted players, yes, without question. none of them can influence a game like brown though. he is our roy keane - he demands the best out of everyone else and set's the example by giving 110% in every moment of every game.

broony is the first name on the team sheet for me every week when fit. this time last season it wouldn't have been the case but he has definitely won me over with his performances this year.

agreed but you can't go through a whole season with just 2 options in there. brown is a good option at CM or RM.

Maybe so, but I feel that Brown would put his heart and soul into almost every match while I've seen Wanyama disappear in a few games. Wanyama is a very good player though, don't get me wrong. Brown is also a great captain IMO.

In all honesty we should expect all our players by giving 110%. That should be no basis to get into a team, especially one under Lenny.

Agreed, I would only take a good offer for him. He is useful as a squad player.

Every player should give their all and in all honesty it should not really make up for a lack of ability. Brown would never be the captain if it were up to me but as none of us know what really goes on behind the scenes I can only assume that Brown is popular amongst the players and staff and tbf to him that is a handy "asset" to have.

he doesn't get into the team because he gives 110% - he gets in the team because he brings the best out of those around him and he is a good player into the bargain.

his passing isn't as good as a ki/ledley/kayal i'll concede that but he is in no way as bad a player as some on here make out.

was neil lennon a great technical player? of course he wasn't! like brown though he knew how to get the best out of the attributes he did have.

The one thing people seem to list more than anything else as a plus point for Broony is that he give his all in every match and tries very hard.
Well, I would agree most of the time but in the two last hampden games he was the definition of an empty shirt. Totally useless.

I think Kayal is actually the best player in the squad at picking everybody else up and laying into them if they're not trying hard enough. I remember Kayal bollocking Hooper at the huns game in December for not tackling someone :56: He went nuts.

I do think Brown contributes much more than any of us can ever see though, off the pitch he's clearly a leader and ver popular figure or he wouldn't have been a proffessional footballer, let alone captain, for so many different managers and years.

Kayal definitely isn't. Look at the start of the season when Broony was out...

Whose play picked up with the return of Brown and a new contract?

Although i acknowledge his game has improved under Neil Lennon,he certainly wouldn't feature in my starting 11.I just don't see what he brings to the team ahead of players like Kayal,Wanyama and ledley.Yes he is determined and he has a good engine...so did momo sylla :87:
