We play better with him in the team. Excellent player. Has been since about the time we lost to Milan in the last 16 of the CL.

Well done Broony this season. It's only when he isn't playing that you notice how important he is to the team. :50:

Thought Brown was great in his first season here, but then dramatically slipped. Now he is finally showing why we signed him. Started to think about playing the game rationally (most of the time) while still having that "dig" and able to wind up opponents.

Glad to see him prove me (and many many other fans) wrong.

He was outstanding today, bossed the midfield. Got the better of Aluko nearly every single time, showed him up for what he is today, average. Great player, and a great captain too

Had a great game today. Reminded me of his time at hibs the way he snarled, laughed and annoyed every one of the rangers team. Great performance today, loved it .

Think he has always been a good player for us when 100% fit. Its just that has had shocking injury problems that ruined him after his POTY season. He got injured just after his POTY award. Problem is he was judged in season like the Mogga season when he was played a lot when not fit over the last 3 seasons. He has probably only been 100% fit for about 12 months in the last 36.

He has also matured mentally and developed his game. For a while I thought his best postion was on the right but I am not so sure now. He has been great wherever and in whatever role he has played since he has got fully fit again. Really makes us tick IMO. He is definatley the heart of the side.

As someone said only three bookings (he never got that many reds anyway) and also he has scored 6 goals in 30 games (one in 5 rate ) this season compared to 7 in 48 games (about 1 in 7) in his POTY season and 8 in 42 (about 1 in 5) in his best Hibs season. So his scoring form is at career best.

I also have felt it is not chance that we win more with Broony.

Great performance from a great player and a great captain. I think its no coincidence that we have improved each of the last two seasons when he has come back from injury. Hes also shown himself to be a clever player, able to drive from midfield, break up play or do a job at right wing. Today he reminded me of Roy Keane, got stuck in, drove the team on and was involved in all our good play going forward. \o/
