Sticking by anyone you think is struggling is a no no.

Jock Stein would have got the push no end of times if you had
been around at the time & got your way.

Tommy Burns would have been lucky to see the sign fixed to

It's not a question of loyalty. It's a question of whether a player can cut the mustard or not, and whether or not he is good enough to be in the team, and stay in the team on current form.

I don't believe in having favorites in the team, like WGS, Lennon and now Deila does. In Rogic's case I am magnanimous enough to accept he has done really well, when I didn't think he had it in him.

On the subject of Stein, wasn't it sad they pushed the great man out of the door for failing to win 10 in a row ?
And didn't the Waistcoat get the same treatment for failing to win 10 in a row ?

Football is a cut throat business, and like any business, there is no sentiment in it.

As regards Tommy Burns you are right. He would never have made it to manager if I had anything to do with it.
