No point in taking a chance with Brown on Wednesday so I hope he gets at least 45 minutes against Kilmarnock.

His goal was like something you'd see on a 5's park. Which is part of his problem.

Technically he is class but the other aspects of his game don't match up to it. He has a lot of potential, particularly if we are going to develop a quick short passing style of play but does he have the energy, pace and pressing to survive in our midfield?

He'll never have the pace, but if he can improve his stamina and defensive work he could be great for us. It'd be nice to have the pace too, but he can do ok in central midfield without it.

I thought he still looked too sluggish too, just seems to lack energy and has no spring in his step, he moves like hes about 2 stone heavier than he looks.

He positions himself to receive the ball in tight spaces, able to get past his marker and pick a pass/shot. Once he receives the ball though his head is up looking for a pass.

Once the rest of the team, especially the DMs, learn this and rocket the ball to his feat I think he'll rip opposing defences apart. More time for him in the first team to build that understanding will go a long way.

I'd love to know why he came off at 60min though - was he knackered? He needs to last longer than that.

Really want him to get settled into things now he's fit, he was really unlucky with injuries but also has the mental toughness and determination to stick through it, fight for fitness and hopefully play his way into the team.
I am excited by his talent/potential, he's really comfortable and good on the ball which is so important if you want to play nice footy but obviously he needs to get his stamina, game fitness etc up to par. I think he is good enough to be on the bench from now on though , at least, and get himself into the team eventually. I reckon a loan isn't needed in his case. I would loan out McGregor though maybe, even though he seems to be getting better, I think Rogic, right now, is miles ahead in terms of ability.

Was it not his first start in two years? Going to take a few more games to form an opinion on him, we all know he has the technical part of the game down.

I made a comment yesterday about him lacking an 'edge' to his game. His touch and passing is nice, but how often did he drive at the defenders, or play a dangerous pass?

Maybe he was playing it safe, maybe he is lacking match sharpness, or maybe it's just not his game.

He was loaned to Melbourne Victory in the hope of getting fit in time for the world cup, however that failed and he missed the world cup through injury.

Another game under his belt. He should have had a goal or two tonight and got into some good positions.

Needs a run of games before I can decide if he can do it for us in the long term.

Gets in great positions and think he will contribute significantly this season. Got an asist tonight as much as you can set up a 30 yard screamer.

Played ok but was a bit slow to get away a few shots, as you said he could have had a couple of goals tonight, Commons would probably have buried atleast 1 of his chances.

Needs to be sharper at times but I like the look of him. He looks very much like a confidence player, you can see the quality he has. Gives us a different option.

I think on a proper pitch he wouldnt have been as 'lightweight' tonight

Good Strong Lad,Good Vision. Just needs to be better in defence when teams have us pinned back. His height is a good pointer for him as his agility and swift feet gives him a lot of advantages.. Going to be one solid player for us. Hopefully he doesn't get sold to the EPL as he suits our game. Fantastic player IMO

don't think there is any danger of him being sold to the EPL :smiley-laughing002:
