No wonder he is struggling. Stupid pressure to put on a 21 year old who has played less than 50 professional first team games.

    * sake, with pressure like that it's sink or swim for Tom Rogic. Wonder how he'll react?

Done his groin after 30 odd minutes last game. Might be out for a while and a big blow for the socceroos if it's serious.

Rogic sidelined by groin problem, Wednesday 9 April 2014

Tom Rogic has suffered a recurrence of a groin injury and is not expected to play again this season.

The Celtic midfielder, who has been on loan to Australian side Melbourne Victory since January, had just returned from a two-week absence due to the problem but limped off after just 39 minutes of a league match with Newcastle Jets last weekend.

Victory intend to wait until they have received the results of a scan before commenting on the injury officially but it is understood that Rogic is unlikely to recover before his loan expires next month.

The injury could affect the midfielder's prospects of playing in the World Cup this summer, with concerns having been raised already during a loan move beset by injuries. Rogic has played just eight times for Victory.

Rogic has been named in the 30 man provisional squad for the World Cup.

Overall I'm frightened to think what's going to happen to our squad when we play the likes of Spain and Netherlands. Couldn't have picked much different though.

Slightly injured and could not prove 100% fitness. Sad for him.

Have any of these lads that have won football contracts through competition actually made it to the big time?

What's happening with that Irish bhoy who won a contract with us?

And others I would imagine. A different manager may be likely to utilize the likes of rogic, balde or the fridge more freely.
Then again, we will probably be hiring a stale unimaginative British minded manager who will play flat football to ensure we don't lose a game first and foremost. Scared to experiment in fear of * up what should be a simple domestic task.

He's not had a very good career since he joined.

Waste of a wage if you asked me, he hasn't shown anything at all in his time here that he is worth a place in the first team.

Can't agree with the last part. Thought he looked excellent at times for us.

What games were these? He was at best just above mediocre in his best performances for us.

Rogic played a blinder on his debut. Never got the chance to break through due to Commons being immense, but there you go, just got to bide your time and see what happens
