Those are the only stats that matter :50: Since Brown returned to the team we've conceded 1 goal in 6 SPL games..When Brown was out the team
we were 15pts behind. Soon as Skoosh is back in the team we are 2pts in front.Who needs stats, when the facts speak for themselves.

Some people have a penchant for disparaging our captain, and manipulate that stats to suit their own agenda. But we are in a charitable disposition this year with a good New Year's Footing over the Hun, so we will forgive them their folly and provocation. cough...Hand :87:

"Kinda conclusively" is a contradiction Prof. Not something that can be used to get a point over seriously.

:56: Get outta here. Can't claim credit for the phrase Captain Clown anyhow - Mr Rossenspiel's I believe?

What, in the sense that he's still club captain when injured? Bit tenuous, no?

We're currently on a ten-match winning run - Brown has started only the last four of those games.

You're the one who seems unhappy. I'm in a splendid mood. :50::50::50:

I'm not a big fan of Brown but the team are winning and that's the most important thing :celt_2:

And the structural integrity of the English language I see. :56:

"Utterly conclusively" was doubtless the phrase I was grasping for. :50:

Mate, you said we always seem to win with him in the team.

I pointed out that in the last seven games before his injury, we won only once with him in the team.

I think that disproves your claim with absolute conclusiveness (cheers Kemo! :icon_mrgreen:)

I'm not trying to say we lose when he plays, just that your claim that we always seem to win is nowhere near true.

:56: OK I'm only going to say this once more, and if it's not clear, then fair enough.

    I have no "theory".

Another poster claimed we always won (or "seemed to win") with Broon in the team. I demonstrated clearly - no theory - that THIS SEASON, our worst run of form was with him in the team. That's all. Facts. If you don't like my facts, fair play to you.

But what he did last season is not relevant to what I was saying.

Anyhow - * bless yeez aw. I'm aff oot... :50:

sorry mate it just seemed like you were attacking him and saying he brings nothing to our team. I miss interpreted your post and was merely backing our captain

thats the thing with brown. he doesnt appear to do very much. like he isnt the one scoring, or setting them up. but again he isnt the one that makes the big tackles in midfield. but without him the team just doesnt get as good results.

Buddy, as Smithy18 says we lost only two games last year when Brown played. Two games. We have conceded only one goal in the last six games since Brown came back. We were fifteen points behind when Skoosh was out, and now we are two points ahead now Brown is back, pretty conclusive eh ? And we never get bullied when Broony is in the team, make no mistake about that.

To say that is nowhere near true is you being a bit economical with the actualite to coin a phrase from somewhere ( how about that one Kemosabe ? :icon_mrgreen: )

He's the squad clown, ask him and he'll tell you that himself.

In fact read his interview last week, which has its own thread on here, then draw your own conclusions.

It's not really all that conclusive though, we started our current winning streak to overturn the points gap without Brown in the team, the recent form of the likes of Wanyama and Samaras has been a much bigger and plainly obvious factor than Broonaldo coming back.

I am starting to find it pretty tiresome that people credit Brown with results just because he was there, regardless of what he's actually contributed to match, not that I'm saying he's been bad the last few games or anything he's done well, but a lot of these statistics being held up as tru fax are spurious to say the least.

the thing we miss when broony doesn't play is a high tempo and we let teams get at us. broony sets the tempo for the team in nearly every match be it good or bad without that tempo we play very slow and struggle to create a lot of chances
