He's not very good, and I can never work out what he does right, and i can see an awful lot he does wrong. But, when he's out we don't seem to win, so despite not knowing why, it seems we do need him and he is missed.
Although if he does take Forrest's place I'll be furious.

Brown certainly gives balance to the team, but then so does Izaguirre, if not more. Our wide areas have been poor this season due to not having either. Also have to consider how badly M.Wilson and Commons have suffered, probably due to this.

I've also felt Brown is the type of player we are missing- someone who will run through brick walls for the jersey. We need 11 guys like that just now and are lucky if we have 5 trying to do the work of 10.

Just now young Forrest is taking on that kind of role and to be fair to him he's putting many of the older more experienced players to shame. The thing is though once Brown is fit who should be dropped to make way? I'd hate to see Forrest be the one forced to give way.

Yeh I don't want him to replace Forrest either, I think he could maybe get a run through the middle alongside Ledley, that's assuming Kayal will more than likely be gone by the time Brown is back to fitness. The only thing about playing him through the middle is his passing is so erratic, however you know what you'll get with him, that's 100% commitment to the cause each game. I say give him a chance

I think Forrest can play on the left and have Brown come back on the right with Ki and Ledley in the centre. Or Ki and Brown in the middle and Ledley on the left.

People are still on for dropping Kayal due to 2/3 bad games :87:

    Our best midfield is

    Commons/Forrest-----Ledley---------Kayal----------Brooney

Our midfield is the best part of our team. Simple as that. But I definitely agree that we are missing Brown right now, as it's no coincidence that every time he misses out through injury and suspension, we end up gaining poor results.

I don't like the idea of having to drop Forrest for him, but I guess a midfield that looked like this wouldn't be too bad

    Forrest Brown Kayal Ledley

The only problem would obviously be Ki missing out at his expense, but if it means we're winning more of our matches, then so be it. Ki could always come on if one of them are having a poor game and we know he can make an impact.

It's not because of bad games or poor form.

He's behaving like a child. Don't want him near the team atm, he needs to buckle down and accept he isn't undropable. I would be shocked if he starts our next league game.

Petulance and Selfishness will get you nowhere at Celtic Park.

I agree that our best midfield would probably consist of Brown, Kayal, Ledley and Forrest, but there is clearly something amiss with Kayal. There will be questions asked of him after yesterdays performance.

Say what you like about Scott Brown but he never ever hides and always gives it his all unlike some of the gutless mercenaries we have in our team.

How is he behaving like a child? Because the rags say he want to move?

Kayal is one of if not the least selfish player at the club. The amount of ground he usually covers to help his team mates is unreal.

Nobody wants Kayal dropped for match performances. The guy clearly tried to get sent off yesterday. His attitude is a disgrace.

Commons should be nowhere near our strongest team. Forrest is the better option and has potential to be top class.

Didn't show any of that qualities yesterday. Players are going to have bad games from time to time, you have to accept that. However what isn't acceptable is when players don't give 100% effort, which Kayal clearly didn't yesterday. I was disgusted with him yesterday and hope he is nowhere near the team on thursday night. He is a quality player but no player is bigger than the club. If he wants to go then let him, no point having an unhappy player at the club. Yesterday is clear evidence of that

No rag has ever said Kayal wants a move away?

Trying your best to get sent off when your team is 3 down and not tracking back is the most selfish thing a footballer can do on the park.

Something you expect from child, not a professional footballer. Not on.

Only thing is, Forrest is young and he will be inconsistent for a while yet. He may be playing well now but who knows what his form will be like when Brown comes back.

He's been a huge loss to the team. I've always stuck up for him before when he's been slated because I like what he brings to the team. He might not be the best footballing talent but he adds a bit of fight, stands up when no-one else will and gets stuck right in.

The fact the manager took him off at half time, while fit, showed us all Kayal has somehow gone off the rails.
