As I understand it - I may be wrong - C&C Group are the (Irish) parent company of both Magners and Tennents (insofar as C&C Group bought both), which are in turn subsidiaries that effectively run their own affairs. It is basically two different companies.

The sponsorship deal is with Magners, not C&C Group.

To my knowledge well park brewery make tennents and are a subsidiary. Magners is actually a product produced by the c and c group themselves but I could be wrong.

Aye, in which case they are two different companies, even if they share the same parent firm.

    It's confusing.

Really happy with magner, probably the best cider in the world imo. Tennents probably blended in better on our shirt though..

I'm willing to give a little on the aesthetic side if it means we no longer have the same shirt sponsor as the filth.

I don't think magners has a parent company though, that's what I was trying to get across, c and c group are the parent company of tennents but fully own magners, to my knowledge anyway.

Happy with this as I wanted a sponsor that connected with our Irish roots i.e Guinness, Magners, PaddyPower etc.. Not having the same sponsor as the zombies is massive, not since i've proper supported Celtic can I remember us having different sponsors! :icon_mrgreen:

    Happy with this.

    I don't like drinking Magners.

Love the idea of it though.

And they're current line of advertising might gove us an excuse to sing big strong man...

Weeeell, have you heard of the Big Strong man, he lives in a caravan...
