    He's suspended for Tuesday.
Yes it was a rash tackle that got him booked, and one which he makes too often, but overall he was terrific today. A bundle of energy, never gave the Czech's time on the ball in his area of the pitch, looked composed on the ball and made some nice passes. Certainly did more than the rest of the midfield today.
Someone's letting their previous opinion of a player colour their judgement relating to specific performances by that player, methinks.

we are medoicre and we have been sine MON left, we were just lucky that the huns were awful, we were pish under barnes, venglos, when tommy took over, under brady, macari..... you get the picture.

as i said browns been captain for a year and a half, mcstays record in europe is awful, so i dont really see what you're point is.

scottish cups are always important, as important as the league? of course not but to label it irrelevant is ridiculous.

dimirty kharine was on 20,000 a week here a decade ago and he played 11 games in 3 years.

i didn't get a chance to click the link, i assume its about spl clean sheets? as i said before under WGS and MON we have conceded less goals than last season as have our inbred friends in the southside.

It was a poor ball from Naismith to Brown that led to Czech goal. I don't really rate brown but don't blame him for that.

with the aid of 5 midfielders Scot Rupert Brown, caused the first goal,
his ill attempts and timing of tackle's is his Hallmark, he is a player who i rate as of having no ability at all, the card counts does not bother me, when he collects them for Celtic, as the position is this should he walk, we are in a no weaker position than if he played the 90 min simple really. and as he aint signed new deal gives me hope that there are still some dumb mangers going about
that buy players, that never seem to win anything, no matter what they spend.

as i've said i do not think supporters should be content with a mediocre team, and captain, we should always be aiming to improve.

as i've said before, stats mean very little to me if anything in terms of judging a player. but you obviously do, as you mentioned stats in the first place. maybe i'am wrong but i believe paul mcstay as captain does have a better record in europe than scott brown(but once again stats mean little, as far as im concerned). i do not need stats to judge a player, to know paul mcstay is better than scott brown, and to know scott brown is a mediocre captain and player- something which neil lennon needs to address if the team is to move on from being 'mediocre' as you quite rightly put it- starting with the captain.

you might want to have a look at that link, because it is in regards to the spl clean sheet record.

i'm far from content with the current level of our squad but there's nothing i can do about it, acceptance and contentment are very different things mate.

as i've said 3 times now brown has been captain for 1 failed euro campaign and now we're about to head into another european campaign, why are you even comparing their records as captains in europe?

do you really expect us to go out and sign a better player or captain than brown? the manager loves him.

we may have got the spl clean sheet record last season but ourselves and the filth have both conceded less goals so you're point about dan, statistically being part of the best SPL defence doesn't really work.

no offence mate but i'm bored arguing about brown, if you dont see what he brings to the team then more fool you. for those that can see his ability no explanation is necessary, for those who cant see what he brings to the team no explanation is possible.

because i would rather have lambert, petrov, lennon, mcstay....... but i'm a realist. whether or not he's at their level isn't even the issue, he is a very important player in our team, we miss him big time when he doesn't play.
