where have i been? celtic park for every game mate, the bhoys superb. as i said against the huns in the cup his pass completion rate was 96%, it was probably like that for many more games.

i said it earlier, this thread is just revisionism.

You say he won you over last season and you keep bringing up the 2-2 game at Ibrox. It's because he did 'the Broony' isn't it? Doing 'the Broony' doesn't make you a good footballer. Like I said before, the best thing that ever happened to Scott Brown was El Hadji Diouf. Up until 'the Broony' people were on Scott Brown's back and it's happening again this season now that Diouf has left Rangers. You can't tell me 'the Broony' never had an impact on how people think of him because people have picks of his goal celebration as avatars, signatures, it's on Facebook, Youtube, etc.

Most of Brown's best work is done off the ball as someone else said above. You yourself even said he passes the ball back the way. Brown isn't creative, he isn't a goal-scorer, he doesn't excel in any area, but he does run around a lot. Is that worth £4.4m? No chance!

Yes , apparently because Broony does this it means he's a good player. Despite the fact hes tactically naive, gets caught out of position, can't pass more than 10 yards, lacks vision, doesn't get into the oppositions box nearly often enough for a supposedly forward thinking player, doesn't shoot and doesn't score. I could go on.

All that aside he is a world class player.

spare me your patronising pish, i'm not the sort to be swayed by a new celebration ffs. the reason i mentioned that game TWICE was because i saw his possession stats for that game.

last season at one point, including games from the end of the previous season, we'd won 18/9? in a row where brown had started, coincedence?

i didn't say he passes the ball back the way, i said he's good at keeping possession, which he is.

    the reason

Stats can tell you anything you want.

He did play well in that 2-2 game but those games are far and few between. (a good game every 5month)

aye ok, just ignore the facts then.

we won 19 games in a row when brown started, club captain and about to sign a new deal, thank * neil lennons in charge and not you.

you could see how much we missed him in the first 2 games of the season.

and celtic have only won a scottish cup as he has been captain, that's probably the most important stat, no? although i realise captains like paul mcstay didn't win a lot, but let's face it, brown couldn't lace his boots.

Lets be honest League Cup wins in Scotland are meaningless. Winning 3 or 4 games against part-time standard teams in Scotland doesn't fool me.

Only when its an Old Firm Cup Final then it has any sort of meaning - we even managed to f*** that up last year.

Title wins and European results should be the real measure of a team.

Your so called "fact" simply ignores the work of his 10 other teammates and is therefore invalid.

otherwise it could be said since Brown had arrived, Celtic have not won a SPL title with him in the squad (thanks to Hartley and Robson we won one), but of course saying that would be pretty unfair, wouldn't it?

how is it a so called fact? it is a fact. nor does it ignore anyone else, its a simple fact that we won 19 games in a row when brown started games, he got injured and we started dropping points, that too is a fact.

saying that we won a league title because of hartley and robson ignores the other 33 games that season, doesn't it? the two aren't comparable.

It depresses me that we've had captains like McNeill, McGrain, Dalglish, McStay, Aitken, Lennon et al and now our last two captains have been McManus and Brown. Two fannies who cannot play football unlike the greats in our past.

Why is everything Scott Browns fault?
Is it his fault we haven't won the league the past 3 years?
Is it his fault all we haven't done well in europe for the past 3 years?
What else does he get the blame for?
Pretty pathetic all these player bashing threads, especially the players who don't deserve it!

We won 19 games in a row with him -> fact.
We won the big remaining games and FINALLY beat the huns with Hartley and Robson to win a title -> fact.

Is there a causality between Brown and 19 victories and between Hartley/Robson and the SPL title triumph?

In other words: Have Brown resp. Hartley/Robson been the main parts in these puzzles? Have they been the main reason for the outcome?

That's not a fact anymore, it's debatable. Just note, if you say Brown's been the main reason for 19 wins in a row, it's just fair to say Hartley and Robson have been the main men as well.

All I'm trying to show is, that stats are dangerous and could also be used against Brown (no title in 4 years with him in the squad).

so it is a fact rather than a so called fact, then why say it wasn't?

a casuality? i dont know what you mean.

show me where i said brown was the reason for the wins, i simply made the valid fact that we won 19 games in a row when the skipper started.
    thats more than a coincidence.

brown getting suspended was a major factor in us winning 3 in a row, hartley and robson were superb during the run in, i never said otherwise. but they're not the reason we won 3 in a row.

how so? as captain scott brown has only won a scottish cup, that's a poor record, and surely that's the stat you should be concerned about?

you made a point about brown not winning much as captain, then make the same point about the best celtic player i've ever seen, it proves nothing.

i'm very concerned about brooney only winning 1 trophy, i'd say samaras has played more of a role in that dissapointing stat than the captain.
