    i dont want to get in an argument with anybody but after todays game i reckon brown sets the tone for the midfield and they get in amongst it whereas ledley is a bit of a pussyfoot and thats why he was benched cos hes kinda....welsh

    I think he's never come close to living up to the 4 mill we shelled out. Most of the time I just can't see what he's supposed to add to the team at all. Thing is he's become undroppable cos he's captain.

    Don't forget that we only won 3IAR in 2008 cos he got injured or suspended for the last few weeks and Barry Robson came in and was much better. If he'd stayed in the team the huns would be on 4iar.

    Scores a very rare good goal against the huns last year, takes the * out of Diouf and gets cult hero status undeservedly. I hope we sell him but I can't see anyone coming in for him now unlike maybe two years ago.

    When asked about his new contract and why he`s not yet signed it.

    He said "I am just nit picking" !!! Ok let us the fans nit pic then.

    He`s constantly pish. He`s Constantly outshone by Kayal who has to put DOUBLE the amount of work to cover his *. Never plays a killer pass unlike Kayal. Has NO vision. Always looking for a fight when he should be doing his job. He cant trap a ball. Yet he`s offered a new improved contract. This is were i cant fathom Neil Lennon. Brown & Samararse being offered new deals when they bring * ALL to the team. we would be better off starting each game with 9 players if they are in it. Utter Garbage the 2 of them and they will be the downfall of Lennon. :47:

    What is there to "nit pick" about his contract, another 4 years and he's already one of our highest earners, if he's wanting better terms it's a * joke, doesn't deserve to be on half what he gets now.

    There are similarities in the Brown situation and that of McManus when he was here. Both pish, and only starting because of the arm band.

    We should have taken any decent offer for him when it was on the table (if in fact there were any) because I fear we are going to be stuck with him now.

    Ever time there is an all round bad or flat performance Broony gets a thread to himself. Today the thing is he was invisible. All the players were flat today. No justification for singling our broony every time. And its completely numptyness to keep bringing up his fee and wages as an excuse to hit him on the head with.

    There have been threads on Brown from almost the day he signed, and very few have been in a positive manner.

    It is not only when we put in a flat performance. Many members on this board just don't rate him, period.

    Moneys tight yet we can afford to waste 25 grand a week on someone who contributes very little, i just don't understand why Lenny continues to play him.

    It's almost as if he's guaranteed a game no matter how bad he plays.

    There is a big division between fans (who dont rate him) and pros (who do rate him). Every manager who ever had the chance to play him did. He has nearly always been first name on the sheet for the last 4 managers with access to him.

    Where are the stats?

    I've not heard too many ex pro's praise Brown too much tbh. I've heard a few say, when asked, that he's no better than average.

    Personally if I was to make a team from the SPL I wouldn't have Brown anywhere near it, and he is our captain.

    yes i would be of the same mind, for those that still hold on to the hot poker, when in all honesty is brown going to rip any defence, when he cant for one, pass a ball, stay on his feet, i have said on many a occation, humpty dumpty, has more stability on his legs than him
