I must be missing something with ledley, last night he was bypassed in the midfield because of his inability to use his right foot either to tackle or pass, in saying that he was not the only player to underperform but to say he was immense is a bit of an overstatement

I would love to know what broony has cost CFC in transfers and wages in his time at Celtic ? Then lets see who defends him as value for money .

I don't think he should be a starter for us. Forrest is much better as a winger IMO, and Kayal, Ki, and Ledley are all much better in the middle of the park.

Seems to be a bit of a Celtic cliche over the past few years, but if he wasn't captain I don't think Lenny would have a problem dropping him.

Scott Brown does not ruin our team. The stats simply do not back up the argument that he ruins the team.

It seems that Broony is just a scapegoat for some people. If you want to look for reasons for last night's poor performance then you should start off by asking why Stokes spent some of the game playing as a wide player and why that big * dumpling Samaras was on the park.

Sorry but he's not pish. Not in my opinion anyway. The best football Celtic played last season was played with Scott Brown in the team. So he obviously does bring something to the team.

Brown should't have started in the middle, he should've been out right with commons out left.

Outwith a goal and a celebration at Ibrox, which made him a hero, he was decidedly average last season.

The problem wasn't Brown, the problem was playing Brown in the centre. I've no idea why we did that since he's shown to us his best position is right mid.

I have never reallt rated Brown.

Running abiut growling, biting ankles and looking for a scrap is not my idea of a leader/good player.

Someone please tell me what he's actually good at and what he brings to the team.

I've asked this before and got no reply.

He played well in the first half and he got injured and was clearly struggling in the last half hour. Still, he was made MOTM. I think the Broony haters only need a few stray passes to get the knives out. The slightest excuse.

why does lenny not just stick to

    Commons-Ledley-Ki-Broony

While Kayal is out that surely picks itself. You can swap Forrest or Maloney for Commons at times but otherwise why mess about with the MF. That MF is perfectly balanced. When Kayal returns it will cause a headache but its not a problem now.

Lets be honest here about last nights game, Celtic were very poor, Sion, weren't a great side, and the Referee was diabolical. I tend to be of the opinion, that Brown is more effective for us when played out on the right, not played as a centre-mid, which was the case last night. If we look at last night, I feel our midfield played too deep in our own half, hence the reason a lack of opportunity for our strikers. In saying that, I'm not trying to defend Samaras, or even Stokes for that matter. My feelings and opinion on these two are well documented on this forum. I have followed, watched, and supported Celtic for well over 40 years, and neither of these two, are good enough to grace the green and white hoops. Now back to wee Brown, yes, I rate him, and rate him very highly, but not in our centre-mid, however, I dont think he should be our Captain.
