He has balance of attack and defence. And at least in comparison to Forrest i think he has a better balance :icon_mrgreen:

just trying to help our team and fans, to start to realize we are playing with ten men most weeks, and with no signs of improvement with the team, as every other player is getting moved to accommodate Brown. it should be obvious by now for Lennon.

the structure was all wrong, firstly Brown's place is on the right wing, he was out of position, stokes on left was out of position, commons on right was out of position, some baffling decisions.
in home matches like this where we are playing teams sitting back there's no need for Brown's extra grunt in midfield.

Why is it that after our game against utd....the same people who were raving about broony's Performance now think he is a liability...sorry don't get it....:31:

The guy has been a liability since day one. Never been convinced with him, ever. One good season for £4.4m isn't good enough.

Seems that everyone forgets he was getting totally slated before the 'broony' incident with Diouf. That was Brown all over... nothing more than a hot headed numpty who runs about aimlessly, a lot.

Any player who consistently can't make simple 10 yard passes will always struggle for a club like Celtic. I'd sell.

Really don't know what Lenny was thinking, Brown's proved over and over again that he doesn't have the ability, composure or intelligence to properly handle playing in the middle of the park.

He has to play wide where you limit the impact of his deficiencies on our overall game.

Or just don't play him at all.

Can't tell you how sick I am of the hardman routine, part of me just wants someone to turn around and lamp him when he does it, it's cringeworthy.

Brown should never be in the middle he doesn't have the 5 yard pass ability or the football (and general) brain you need to be a good CM.

no matter what scott brown likes to think he is not a centre mid, he is a decent winger but he is shocking in the middle. he doesnt offer himself for the ball when he does have the ball he has very little creativity. i like scott brown as a person and the thought of him being captain is growing on me but as a player, centre mid specifically, he wouldnt get in any premiership team.

im convinced we would have won last night if we lined up

    commons-ledley-ki-brown

it is also taking away from commons because he does not have a strong right foot and he is being forced out onto the right wing.

I'm not a fan of Brown at all, but to be honest it was the tactics last night that were the problem, not the starting 11. We tried this 4-2-3-1 at Easter Road, and we looked hopeless, so why did we expect different results last night?

Commons has to play on the left.
Stokes has to play through the middle with a partner.
Brown has to play on the right, if at all.

    If instead of
    Forster
    Cha Majstorovic Mulgrew Wilson
    Brown Ledley
    Commons Ki Stokes
    Samaras
    we had played
    Forster
    Cha Majstorovic Mulgrew Wilson
    Brown Ki Ledley Commons
    Stokes Samaras

then I think we would have won last night. 4-2-3-1 is all well and good if you have the players to play it, but with our injuries at the moment I don't think we do. To be honest if Hooper and Kayal are back next week I wouldn't be totally against trying
    Forster
    Wilson Wilson Majstorovic Mulgrew
    Kayal Ledley
    Forrest Ki Commons
    Hooper

As a few people have said his best position is right mid, he isn't a centre mid, he may bring good energy but his lack of a football brain means it doesn't count for much (harsh but true imo). I thought Joe Ledley was immense last night, worked his socks off and was my motm by a long way. Ledley and Cha were the only players that impressed me last night
