That's whole other debate my friend. Listen I don't hate our captain and will love it if he leads us to victory but I have serious doubts over him. I'll support him and the team when the season starts but will never shirk voicing my opinion/concerns over players and the club in general.

Isn't that what a forum is for, discussion and opinion about the club we love.

devlin we'll agree to disagree over our Captain and I hope you are proved to be right.

    Hail Hail!:shamrock:

buddy .. players go out and have a good time on their summer holidays . You might'nt like it , but their only human . I bet the rest of the team are having a few drinks with their time off .. just because brown is captain doesnt mean he should sit at home and watch countdown .

im dissapointed in the way the developmnent of scott brown has went

i hoped that at £4.4 million he was a young player that would develop into an international star player for us

i can only now reflect that the guy is too daft to teach

but hey you win some one you lose some

I will put the opinions of every manager who has the option of selecting him above the weird attitude of the haters among our fans.

I have always thought he makes a difference and its generally not appreciated because he does a lot of the dirty work. I would be honest and say I never saw him as captain material but now (and this amazes me) he looks a total natural at it, great with fans, great with the press and obviously totally vital in bonding the team on and off the pitch. He is a bit nuts but he is some character.

Watching the game last night I think Scott brown shouldn't be in our full strength starting lineup.looking at our midfield he is in my eyes the one with least ability, all I see is a guy who rounds a lot and brings nothing to the team.we all enjoyed him annoying diouf and the fact the huns hate him which makes him more popular with us than he should be.I know with him being captain he'll be a regular starter but he just isn't good enough to play in front of ki,ledley, commons, kayal or forrest and then once wanyama settles will he be better than him.I know some won't agree but I just don't see him improving our team.

    Exactly.

He is the weakest link in our midfield.

    Punt. :50:

Thought he was crap last night, but in his defense he was playing at CM, and he's always been crap there. :86:

Seriously though, he has done a decent job at RM since he moved there, but still, for all his energy, dig and...yeah that's about it, he's still a pretty limited footballer and we can do better.

Agree that he is not good enough as a Centre midfielder, but his performances at Right midfielder he has been pretty good this last season.
