Scott brown finished the season on good form, and i feel he is a big part of the great bond between the players who with a few good signings will do great things, that is part of being a good captain, so a few bevvys is well earned at the end of the season, i could see your point if he turns up at pre season training with a beer gut:celt_2:

I hope you're right about him, it would defo be more tolerable if had led us to the title but he didn't.

I like him when he's played wide right, adds balance to the team and seems more natural there. Tireless worker who gets in peoples faces and isn't scared to wind up the opposition.

Seems a character as well :icon_mrgreen:

He's entitled to chill out is he not? Wether he chooses to do it in the Edge or some pretentious * place such as Karbon or Bamboo is irrelevant. Fact is I know i'd rather he interacted with fans instead of standing around thinking he's better than everyone, the way McGeady used too along with O'Dea!

all yous jumping on JC ANTON, are yous having a laugh ?

allthough i'm also not bothered about a player going out and enjoying himself

but scott brown has been a disaster of a signing for us! he simply put doesn't suit our team, 4 useless years from him

he just aint as good a footballer/prospect as we thought we were getting

and he's only now got a load of support with the celtic fans after that SC game with rankers at ibrox and the so called broonie

to be honest i wish him all the best with what ever new club he signs for i.e. cheerio

No that isn't why he has got a load of support. Scott Brown has only lost one league game this year, every single time Scott Brown was in the squad we play at a different level. Only exception was Caley Thistle and that was sloppyness and bad defending.

Broony has dig and desire, he sets the tempo we play at just through his desire to get the ball and to win. His passing is decent, he is strong on the ball, strong in the tackle and covers some amount of ground. Players hate playing against Scott Brown. Ask our new signing Adam Matthews that.

4 wasted useless years? Scott Brown one Player of the Year in a year that we won a title. That's not very useless. Circumstances in his first season with his sister hampered his performances and Gordon Strachan's last year/Tony Mowbrays first in charge showed that whenever Scott Brown was even half fit, he's in the team. This hampered Broony in so many ways.

However this year, under Neil Lennon the midfield four of Broony, Ledley, Kayal and Commons is the most important part of the team. They completly allow the full team to work. Brown on the right does the work of two men, a RM and an auxiliary CM for when Commons is to join the attack.

When Brown isn't in the team, it doesn't work. Hence the fact, Christmas Scott Brown get's injured. 3 draws at Parkhead. CSI Cup Final? Scott Brown gets injured at a time we were looking strong and drawing 1-1. We get beat 2-1.

    Motherwell 2-0? Broony wasn't playing.

When Broony doesn't play. We don't play.

    Simple as that.

Great post,I'm getting annoyed at the amount of brown bashing that goes on. Brown has improved immensely over the last year or two. People who say he is * on the ball, was roy keane a hollywood ball type of player? No he wasnt, but people didn't like playing against him. Now I'm not saying he's as good as keane but his role in our team is just as important as the stats show.

    The stats are mince though.

There have been plenty of games where Brown's been so poor he has people pulling their hair out on here but we still go on and win, you can't hold him up as this this amazing positive winning influence just because he happened to be there, you have to look at the actual performance.

Stats are too easily twisted to suit whatever point you're trying to make, I mean I could go find say pass completion stats and Brown would probably be behind Kayal, Ledley and Ki, so he's our worst CM and shouldn't make the starting 11.

    But that would be stupid.

But the thing is, he is. When he is on the park we play well. When he isn't on the park we don't.

That's not stats, that's the performances. The thing is even when Broony is having a bad game, he never, ever ha s a bad game with his off the ball work.

Which is one of the most important parts of our game. He makes sure the other players does it as well. He is the captain for a reason, he is a massive influence on our team.

That's not stats. That's just what happens. To dismiss his achievements for us this season is just downright insulting and it suggests that their is some personal reason for your dislike of the Celtic Captain.

Ohhh just a coincedence we play * when he isn't playing and good when he is, that's just twisted stats.

Bullshit mate and you know it.
