I couldn't stick it then either, McGeady stagnated completely, it was the right thing for him and the team to leave when he did.

Can I just add this to the mix, recently Brown was linked with Juventus and Inter Milan I believe, are these rumours true? Very unlikely, but even to be linked to such a massive club must mean he has been doing something right recently.

Need him back in our team asap!

do we miss brown i say " nope" would he have lasted the 90 min, don't think so, not way that ref and it will be proven when he returns as the refs are going to love him, as there get out of jail cards by issuing 2 yellow turn red to him, and we will not be able to say f/ all about them

Pretty sure Brown being linked with Juve and Inter was mostly to do with the papers talking absolute *.

People want to see him beating 5 players and putting one into the top corner, only then will they give him praise, Brown does the dirty side of midfield and breaks up potentially threatening attacks by winning the wall, not only this he covers every inch of grass.

You are wasting your time mate, some people will never change their views just out of stubbornness. All that matters is that Lenny rates him which he must do because when fit Brown has started every game under Lenny and even got made captain. I have said it a million times, Lenny see's him every day in training, I trust his judgement, not people who come out with the predictable 'Cant pass, cant shoot' crap.

I see what he brings to the team and think he deserves credit for his performances prior getting injured.

Your right, Lennon has praised him almost every game he has played this season, reason that being he has been good, as you said he does the dirty side of the game, similar to Lee Cattermole, and like Lee Cattermole he occasionally does lung busting runs, outcome is not always the best but the role he has in the team is not attacking midfielder, people thought when he came hes the new Petrov, he's not and never will be, his game is competely different, i dont think any midfielder in Scotland wants to play against Scott Brown

Cheers mate, I would have a guess at around 5?

Spot on once again, Lenny has praised him more than any other player in the team, when he was injured he even came out and publicly admited losing Brown was a 'massive' blow to Celtic.

Hearts did to us what Brown does to other teams. They closed, harrassed and tracked us into the ground. The only player at Celtic who does that is Brown. I think a player like that is very useful and unlike most DMs Broony has mobility too. I think we need one of Ledley, Ki or Juarez paired with one of Brown or Kayal. I think if you the CM is any 2 of Ledley, Ki and Juarez then it is only suitable for easier home games. The Ki-Ledley CM is an accident waiting to happen - good against struggling sides and overrun against harder sides. You could argue that you could pick the CM to fit the opposition. The more reasonable among Browns critics have pointed out that he is perhaps not needed against the weaker sides.

Spot on Gunt, it was like Lennon, nobody realised how important he was a player to us until he was gone, Brown is the same people think he just runs around getting booked and offering nothing, when he breaks up the play and uses his drive and determination to spur others on and play with a higer intensity. When we play with ledley and Ki we have players who excel when have time but when getting over ran they cant handle it, and get intimidated

Disagree, I think Ki has shown he is not afraid to put himself about both on Wednesday and in the OF game. I think he has been our best player over the last few weeks as his YPOTM award confirms.

Its not really about just putting yourself about. That is a myth about Brown. Its about how intense you harry and track. Brown does that to a degree that very few players can. Lenny was a DM of fairly high standard himself and he rate Broony and frequently plays him in a DM role. Personally I think people who think a Ki-Ledley CM is our best have a lack of understanding of how a MF needs balanced, certainly in terms of harder games. Right now though Lenny has no choice due to injuries to Brown and Kayal but when either of them is fit I expect them straight back in the team for Ki and that IMO will be the right decision. I would say in about three quarters of the games he played this season Broony was really decent. Manager after manager picks Brown whenever they can. Manager after manager does not play McCourt. I think sometimes their is a gap between managers and fans in football knowledge and rational assessment of player. The cases of Broony and McCourt are about as extreme as they come in terms of fans thinking one thing and a string of managers thinking another. However, I will back the view of the managers, guys who know far far more about the game than any fans, every time. Fans understanding is sometimes lacking. I think Celtic fans in particular have a problem with realising that its not the circus and a winning team is not just based on technical ball players.
