I would not say Im glad that he is injured but what I would say is that this could be a blessing in disguise.

Our other midfielders can form a partnership and then it would be up to Broony to work his way back in. If we go on and Hump the Dutch and ICT without him then if he jumps straight back into the team it is a poor showing from the manager.

I don't think results should dictate whether he comes straight back in or not. It should come down to individual performances. IMO he was better than ledley other night.

Ledley was quiet the other night but i think, given it was his 2nd game, he is more deserving of chances than a guy who has rarely performed for us in 3 seasons at the club.

Brown was actually good the other night. Its barking that fans can joke about and enjoy one of their players triggering what appears to be a chronic injury, especially a player that gives 110% regardless of his apparent limitations. Imagine he read the comments below that article? would be gutted.

ledley had a very good first half the helped out the team well the second making up for that waste of space mulgrew, it will be better for celtic that browns injured , so people can see that the team will function better without him, any word on maloneys injury?

i dont understand people being "happy" at our players being injured, though i do agree that Brown has consistently under performed and has not lived up to our expectations though i did think he was a bit better when he became captain last year and was unlucky to be sent off in the Old Firm game that lost the league once and for all.

but it will be interesting to see how a mix of Kayal/Juarez/Ki/Ledley works!

They don't dictate that the same 11 should play each week. we could play mulgrew and win a right few in a row...but i would still replace him.

Ledley gave the ball away 3 or 4 times whilst not under pressure in the first half. He played better at left back and the team better when juarez moved inside.

I'd say that Brown relinquished possession on a number of occasions the other night as well.

he had to be subbed off before he got sent off, that's not playing for the team.

I think Juarez, Sammy and Fortune were our best by a distance the other night.

i disagree, i really fail to see what Brown contributes to the side other than thinking he's a hardman cos he can stare at people. He'd start a fight in an empty-room. His passing is woeful. I respect you opinion, but its wrong:50::56:

He can't control a ball, he can't pass, he can't cross, he can't tackle without giving away a freekick, he picks up stupid bookings, he doesn't score goals, he can't take a set peice, and his reading of the game is nonexistant.

The only reason he is in the side is because he's Captain, and the only reason he's Captain is because there are no standout candidates at all. If he wasn't Scottish we'd never have paid £4.4m for him and he'd have been sold by now.

I'm sorry that he's injured but for all he contributes to the midfield, what difference does it make?

100% agree. The reason i think he was given the captaincy by Mowbray was as a 'Get it up ye' to the press after they claimed he was trying to sell him, causing a bit of an argument between the Record and the club.

If Brown is always going to get a game no matter what, I'd at least rather he took time and sorted this injury a bit better, rather than thinking he's helping the team getting injections and playing through the pain, you're not that good mate, you probably won't be missed.

I am not happy he is injured, I just wish to * lennon would see he is not good enough! I lost count of the amount of times I lost patience with Browns passing in the Braga game. He cannot pass 5 yards!! Lennon must be blind if he thought he was "immense".

Ledley didnt do much but at least he can pick out a pass and hold onto the ball.

I am just glad that Juarez should now stay in the centre and hopefully Kayal gets straight into the action. Brown has had plenty of time to impress the celtic fans and he has failed to do that.

He should never be captain either. I can see Juarez getting the armband before the season ends.
