I believe any attacking role in a 5 man midfield should be given to someone who'll actually create something. Brown is all huff and puff.

:97: We were gash in the first half, absolute gash. As soon as Juarez moved in the middle he showed Brown what he should have been doing. Juarez created a move off and finished with a headed goal. Could you realistically imagine Brown doing that?

I feel like you're half way right. If he's going to play in a central position then I agree he needs to be in a 3 man central midfield. I have seen him play on the right in a 4 man midfield for Scotland though and he did well. I also recall him having a couple of good games for us in that position.

    Worth a try.

I actually thought Brown had a decent game, he wasn't our best player but no where near our worst. There were times I felt he was the only one trying to close down their defense and midfield when they were passing the ball between themselves.

Brown passing the captaincy to Loovens. Biggest joke of the night. Neither should be anywhere near the armband. If there aren't any leaders give it to the best player and it's looking like that's Juarez.

Dont think we should play a 5 man midfield just to accommodate him. I also dont think a 5 man midfield would work for us because we haven't go a good enough CF to play the lone role.

i think we can argue all we want about whether or not brown is a good player...the point is though, we have better players for any position he could play, so he should not be an automatic pick. just also find his conduct on field embarassing, nearly got us down to 10 men in an important match, tends to do this for some reason...
