Browns coming out with strong encouraging words while rangers players are begging for new signings and saying they might aswell hand celtic the title...i wouldnt mind if they decided to do that lol

but remember he had more than one comeback last season it was the second half of the season and he was rotten trying to play like that, leave it to ki or crosas, brown should just run and destroy :icon_mrgreen:

He's the kind of guy that's undroppable, probably due to his price tag and the fact that he's Scottish born and bred. That is important.

We all know he can be an exceptional midfielder but when he's bad he's * mince.

We need the top level performance week in week out and the midfield is more competitive than ever now. We need more busting runs from deep, more goals and less petulant yellow cards. Dare I say this is last chance for him?

If he can get 10+ goals this season thatd be great dont you think he looks a MUCH better player when he's charging forward its great to watch and they formation we seem to be using suits him because he can get forward and Lenny is using him much better than Mowbray did and Strachan managed him well because he gave him a free role in his last season and he won player of they year.

PLAYER OF YEAR NEXT SEASON :D

P.S WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK HE'S A HUN!

with his performances for scotland then is it odd that they normally come from him playing out on the right rather then in the middle maybe? could be something who knows.

but hope he does well 10 assists and 10 goals does me fine basically he scored 20 then haha we'll see

I agree.. It was a very stop/start season.. The ankle injury that he got around October/November was the same time Maloney got his injury and looked like Brown was rushed back far too quick to fill gaps and broke down again.. He did finish the season strong though and seemed from Lenny's comments at the time as though he'd been playing with the head a bit more (apart from the sending off against the huns) choosing his runs forward more carefully but I agree about leaving the precision stuff to guys like Crosas or Ki because Browns eagerness to play the quick pass is often his undoing and I also don't want to see him anywhere near the oppositions goal because his shooting is woeful.. Im not sure but don't think he's even stepped forward to take a penalty for the cause (in shootouts).. Would much rather see him go looking for the ball from the defence and run it forward like the move that set up Keane in our home game with Motherwell at the end of the season and generally get the ball and give it to players who can finish..

Personally i don't think he does enough, his passing and shooting are far from good enough.

I hope he proves me wrong this season.

Yeah that would be great. Doubt it's going to happen though, his scoring rate for hibs and us is about 1 in 10, he's not a high scoring player, never has been.

Nothing to do with him being a Rangers man, he's simply not good enough to play for Celtic.

Celtic have been spoiled with great midfielders in the past so he has a lot to live up to. But TBH he just looks like a little boy chasing pidgeons and it's a joke he's been made captain.

Scott Brown lacks the basics to be a top midfielder and a celtic player.

He can't pass a ball further than 20 yards.

    He can't shoot

He doesn't score nearly enough goals

    He can't keep his discipline

    His crossing is poor

His through balls are always overhit

His tackling is ok but not brilliant

His composure on the ball is shocking

His first touch likewise - shocking

    His team awareness sadly lacking

On the positive side - he can make incredible lung bursting runs, he can needle the opposition and he has a lot of energy.

Sorry Scott son, you're just not good enough for the hoops - hope we sell you and sign a much better player in the Lambert or McStay mould.
