Losing by five goals was greatly undeserved. That Juventus aren't that good a team.

Anyhow, we lasted longer than the "Champions of Europe" and just as long as other British teams, presuming Arsenal get beat by Bayern.

Every player should be extremely proud of themselves after this CL campaign. Yes, even Izzy and Efe...

Never a truer word spoken, they will be picked apart in the next round without a doubt.

Just ignore him. People like Tom English try to be controversial to cover up for the fact they're absolutely pish at what they're paid to do, which is offer unbiased analysis.

you lads lost to a stronger team, played admirably and should well be proud. It's a great achievement for a team with your resources to have come this far. I know I'll receive nothing but nasty comments and that's fine because it's just the internet. Dunno if you guys have seen this clip but I just thought it was nice enough to share:50:

I thought over the two legs we were soundly beaten and I think the gulf was evident. But that said, we were really punching well above our weight to get as far as we did and it is still a fantastic achievement.

To beat bigger and better teams, I think any team need to play at 100%, hope their opponents aren't at 100%, and then get a slice of luck. That is how we managed to beat Barcelona, and it is how lesser SPL teams can sometimes beat us. Against Juve we played ok but made too many silly mistakes and didn't take our chances. Cant complain really.

Still a good ride while it lasted. If we can repeat this next year I will be delighted. Credit to Lennon and the players for taking us so far.

Well said. I think we went with the best we had, and a few injuries mid-game didn't help.
But to play two games against Juve and keep possession so easily will give us confidence for next season.

The one player that looked like taking them on was Forrest, he'll stay, Watt will come onto a game. Most of the players will stay, but i think Izzy, Ambrose, Wanyama and Hooper can go in the Summer. So maybe 3-4 million for Ambrose and Izzy, 4-6 for Hooper and the big money for Wanyama, say 10-12 million.

With a transfer kitty of say 12 million and more in reserve, we're moving in the right direction.

Amazing effort from the entire team, just lack a bit more quality, but now is the time to play Miku and see if he can takeover from Hooper.

I was going to say the exact same thing in reply to that post. The old * journalist trick, just be controversial to get people talking about you, Jabba made a * career out of it.

So you came on to post a link of a Celtic fan and a Juve fan swapping scarves?

    Is this your YouTube account?

Nothing would surprise me with Juve. There are some classic games still to come, as much as i wanna see them get destroyed, they are very consistent.

What has happened to Izzy ..Player of the year and he now looks like a bad Stephane Mahe. Dunno why Hooper stayed on for 90mins....yes he's been good for us but i dont reckon we will get the £9-10 million that Norwich offered us.

    Some bitter people in here.

And I agree with whoever said Mulgrew was poor. I can't really see a place for him in future European sides. All he's got going for him is his delivery.

As long as your respectful you won't get peters.

I agree with your assessment and that's a nice clip

Another night again where it could have been different. Didn't take our chances, juventus did.

Still so proud of Celtic for even making it this far for what has been a tremendous European adventure.

    Faithful through and through.

And juve......you's are not as good as you think and will get pumped in the q/f.

Nope, it was posted on a Juventus forum of which I'm a member.
    Cheers lad :50:
It was, and there were some Juve fans waving Tri-colours too which was a nice sight

On a completely separate note, Lennon should stick to the scarf and 'Mourinho' style jacket as opposed to the track suit, much better look :D

Agree about the 5 goal margin but they are a very good side, rock solid defence and a well balanced midfield..
